Formo......if he has paid his "debt to society", i agree, he should get a chance.
IF anyone WANTS to hire him in the NFL. If someone wants to take that chance, so be it. I wouldn't want him on MY team though.
Thats up to each team owner to decide. Do they want to take a HUGE chance on a so-so QB, and take the possible backlash? If so, by all means, hire the guy.

As far as TO goes........he's a "has been" already in my view.
And NOT worth the trouble he WILL cause on his new team.
JMO of course.

My question is how many other NFL players take part in dogfighting. I would pick Owens. I think he can still be a more explosive player. He just needs to go to a place that has been all around leadership.
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

I don't know the stats on Vick's passing, but I gotta believe that it is better than average. Again, not sure, I'll have to do some research..

But to answer the question, Vick, hands down.

T.O. is over rated. I've seen SOO many of his catches that he was more lucky to have caught them than it took talent to catch them. It's almost his hands are made of rock, and the ball bounces around between them before he gets his claws on it/or the refs call it a catch. Don't get me wrong, he's talented. But, still, over rated.

There are about 4 or so other WRs that I'd take over T.O. Fitzgerald, Moss, Boldin, and Reggie Wayne are 4 just from the top of my head that I'd take over T.O.

Oh, and my team needs a QB.

As far as the morality of Mr. Vick.. He's paying his dues now. And you better believe that the NFL will still penalize him when he's done with his sentence. When/If he gets reinstated, I gotta believe he'll come out a smarter, better human being. What he did, was wrong. But I also recognize that he's human, along with the rest of us. Not to mention.. I hate to say it, especially to those of you whom are dog lovers (this includes me), but, his victims.. were dogs. Not beings capable of moral fiber and emotional or logical decision making. Murder of a human being will ALWAYS be the greater 'sin' over the murder of a dog.

TO is 5th all time in receiving yardage, 2nd all-time in receiving TDs. I don't see how anyone can say he's overrated.

Yes, he drops balls. But no one can cover him, just like no one can cover Randy Moss.

Fitzgerald is the ONLY one who has the potential to be the next TO. I already said Moss is better, but TO is consistently good, every year.

Now, here's something that's shocking. This is TO in the 00s in Receiving TDs:
2001 - 1st place in the NFL
2002 - 1st place in the NFL
2003 - 10th place
2004 - 3rd place
2006 - 1st place
2007 - 3rd place
2008 - 5th place

He scores TDs. He's a monster.

Now Michael Vick. Only played one whole season in his career. One. Injury prone like crazy. Not only that, can't throw the football. He only had one season where he threw over 80 rating (81.6). His max TDs was a whopping 20 (which is a really bad year for BF for example). His next best year, he threw a whopping 16 TDs.

Granted, he can run. But he can't throw. If he was running for 10+ TDs a season, then I'd consider him more, but his max TDs rushing was 8.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a scrambling QB, but you have to throw the ball as well, which is something Michael Vick can't do.

Sorry Formo. As much as I usually agree with you on everything, I completely disagree on this one.

Formo - Yeah. It's too bad. I really like AP. He's exciting to watch. But AP may end up like Barry Sanders - the heart of the team, but with not enough talent elsewhere to go to the next level. It really is a shame that Sanders played all those years and never got a ring. I fear AP will do the same.

Unlike the other people on this board, I'm not anti the other teams on the NFC Central (now it's called the North). If we don't make it, I root for the other teams in our division. I've always had soft spots for Wallie Payton then later Barry Sanders and now I'm warming up to AP. But it looks like AP will have the same career path as Barry. At least Payton got one ring. You guys are a QB away from being SB contenders.

Cheesey - Agreed big time.

da Bears were scoring left and right and the game was a joke. It looked like they were having fun out there.

I think Jim McMahon got 2 rushing TDs and the Fridge got one. Wallie should have gotten one of those 3 TDs. if anyone worked their heart out for da Bears after all those years, it was Wallie.

I loved the replays I've seen of Sweetness. And I loved how he ran.

But, I grew up WATCHING Barry Sanders. I actually SAW how he ran; how he could get stuffed 9 plays in a row, but everyone still held their breath when he got touch number 10 because we all knew he could do something special with the rock. I remember watching one game where he was virtually NON existent.. And the next, he was lighting up the opposing team. I hated when the Vikings would play against the Lions, just because we never knew how Barry was gonna make a highlight reel of the Vikings' defense.. We just knew he was going to.

And now, with AP.. It's finally nice to have a RB. That's RESPECTED. I mean, opposing defenses respect him. Not just the fans. Robert Smith was my favorite RB for the Vikings for a long time, because opposing fans HATED him. But AP? He's on a whole new plane.

I agree with you, without a QB, he'll probably go without a ring. But I'll even go one step further, that without an offensive coordinator and an offensive scheme, he won't get a ring. This isn't about Chilly.. It's about Chilly's offense. Everything Chilly has done since he's been HC for the Vikings, I liked, except for the virtual nonexistence of a Vikings offense.

Wait.. What was this thread about? lol

Taking from Peter to pay Paul.

"The department says the plan assets were partially used to help pay the criminal restitution imposed on Vick after his federal dogfighting conspiracy conviction."

Hey Michael, in the event that you get confused about your continued incarceration, here's a phrase I learned in elementary school:

That dog will not hunt.

Any of you that compare this criminal favorably to T.O. amaze me. I don't like T.O. , but this guy is...well, he's a convict, that's what he is.
