I like Eliot Wolf, simply because it's a cool story and he's next in line when Ted Thompson retires after the 2018 like he's been planning to do for years (or at least that's my version of reading in between the lines of when Mark Murphy said he knows when Thompson is gonna retire (it was when his current contract is up).
For outside blood... the Vikings have seemed to do a great job of drafting defensive players... of course it helps with the talented coverage guys fall to your draft position spot and you have lots of high draft picks, but still, they've gotten it's more correct that some other teams that were in the same spot. Though I know nothing about Vikings George Paton personally, other than looks like it looks like he's group weren't successful with other teams (Bears and Dolphins) but he wasn't the leader then, so I don't know if you hold that against him or not. Also for how often the Vikings have hit on defense, that have almost struck out on offense.
Eric DeCosta has certainly been successful as well. And while they always seem to have some major holes (such as WR), their OL is normally physical and they normally have a good defense. I like how their GM has had made some tough cap decisions. Though they've had a number of high draft picks that didn't work either...
Off the list choice: Packershome.com's very own Beast, would be my choice for people off the list, he's got a great record and is very knowledgeable and would take into consideration, what the rest of Packershome.com and professional scouts had to say. 😝
