Was a little concerned when I saw The Panthers had the #5 total Defense.
A closer look shows The Panthers give up 20.2 points per game, The Packers 23.2.

Never have understood why POINTS are not used to determine rank.

Points are what are used to determine who wins!

Anyways, the Panthers are one of the best run stopping teams in the NFL, which allows them on focusing on attacking the passing game, but if the QB can get enough time and WRs are on the same page, then the Panthers have some holes in their DB game.

Bears beat the Panthers by stopping the run, forcing Newton to threw and getting some turnovers that way... of course that's always easier said than done against a good power running team, especially when they have a big physical running QB... and now that they have Greg Olsen back.

Of course, the Vikings just lost to them because they could't stop the run and turned the ball over.

The Bears beat them earlier this season, right?šŸ˜
So why wouldn't we have a realistic chance???

The Panthers will not be able to sell out on run D to the same degree teams have with Hundley. If they do Rodgers will make them pay. Rodgers will also be able to take better advantage of what Adam's creates by spreading the ball around more than Hundley has to Jordy and Cobb. I feel a lethal dose of play action is on it's way to Carolina.

The Packers know what Carolina is going to do. Pound the rock and let Cam loose when he sees an open field. That's how they have won recently. GB's front 7 has to have a big day and make some stops on 3rd down. They need this to start Sunday anyhow or there is no way they are getting to January. Just outscoring Carolina let's them live for another day but puts them on a very slippery slope. Make no mistake, however, with Rodgers back the Panthers can score 21-24 points and it won't be enough and that is a nice thing to have in their hip pocket.
