Your mock may have been shot out of the water with Detroit getting Peterson. Looks like Detroit is back to Smith or Stafford.
As for the trade. If Thompson can pull of a trade of this fashion, I would not be upset at all. 3 first day picks that have a chance of coming in and starting would fill one dream.

That's not true at all. If the Lions were interested in Curry prior to Peterson, they'd be interested in him after as well.

eh im not so sure about that, i mean isn't Peterson supposed to be making a big chunk of change this season? You think they'd wanna be paying three linebackers big money (Simms, Peterson, potentially Curry)?
Honestly I think the smartest thing for them to do would be to grab an olinemen with the pick. Wont matter whose throwing for em if he's on the ground all day X_X

I thought I read the Hawks will be eating some of Petersons salary. Either way, the Lions need LB and need to take the best player available. With their history of drafting offensive players in round one, ... lol. š
I don't think this trade sways them one bit in their draft selection. Peterson is 30 and if what I read and heard about him, he's already declining in production. The Lions need solid football players for the future, not declining athletes.
