When did these fans say they were no longer Packer fans? Being critical does not mean I am not a fan. Blind devotion is a cult.

Really?, it takes courage to support your team when it's down? Courage?

I was critical in 70's 80's 90's 2000's 2010's and currently. Less of a fan never...wanting better for the fans and owners of this team always. Never understood the you're less of a fan if you don't agree and follow the status quo when it comes to following a sports team. Things can never get better or worse without change. I will continue to support and follow the Packers for life. But too agree with and defend everything they put on the table goes against everything life has taught me.

Bart Starr was not wrong, yet it also takes courage to face reality as well. I too want the Packers to win, but I refuse to ignore the truth.

The truth is that GB, even if they make it into the playoffs, has no real chance of advancing.

I was almost to young to appreciate the greatness of the 60's. "They will be like this every year, right?"
I was crushed when the 70's laid an egg.
I failed to realize why a team "as good as they obviously were" kept coming in 8-8.

All in all I learned that I overvalued the talent on the field, in the coaching staff and in the front office.

As it has been said, expecting the franchise to try and achieve greatness is not unreasonable. Being upset and saying so when the leadership fails to do so doesn't mean we are fair-weather fans.

I was a fan of the Packers pre Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr. That was love, not courage.
I was a fan through the "glory years".
I was a fan through the 70's when Bart was head coach for nine years (75-83) when his record was 52-76-3. That was love not courage.
I have been a Packers fan through all of their ups and downs for 61 years out of love for the Green Bay Packers.
However, I reserve the right as a loyal fan to be critical of the Green Bay Packers administration, coaching staff and players as I see fit looking at them through the eyes of love.
The biggest difference in being a Packers fan between 1956 and 2017 has been the internet.
Now people have the opportunity to interact with other fans from around the world from a keyboard.
Critics of the team they love are hounded by "internet bullies" who like to doubt your fandom and dedication because you don't look at the team you love through green and gold goggles.
To continue to interact with those fans takes courage and LOVE.
Regardless of my criticisms of various facets of the Green Bay Packers, regardless of wins and losses, I love the Packers and will be a die hard Packers fan until the day I die.
That's not courage, that's LOVE!

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.

Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
