Kudos to Tom "ultra-soft" Silverstein for this one:

GREEN BAY – There are only two conclusions you can make after the Green Bay Packers’ abysmal failure to launch a passing attack Sunday at Lambeau Field.

Either coach Mike McCarthy and his assistants failed completely in training backup Brett Hundley to play quarterback in their offense. Or general manager Ted Thompson has wasted a year by putting his chips on someone who can’t win throwing from the pocket.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

or Brett Hundley is a practice warrior and practices like Tarzan and plays like Jane. This doesn't exclude the other options, just adds one in a general sense.

To improve each week is something. To revert to AWFUL should NOT be acceptable.
Time to give some other QB a shot.
I mean, what is there to lose???

It's about when he can really get hit!

When Hundley gets hit (or makes errors) he reverts back to not be willing to stay in the pocket and/or thinking too much and not releasing the ball when the first guy gets open.

This Ravens D was an unusually tough group. I bet he bounces back against the Steelers.

It's either this or that...to even begin with this moronic monosyllabic pseudo-journalisitc bullshit; it must begin with the assumption that every QB that has not been inducted into the HOF after his 4 games is a worthless POS.

I say lets show Rams some tape of Goff's first 4 games last year and pick him up for a conditional 6th.

One huge difference between Rodgers and Hundley sitting on the bench for 2 years is that the CBA now allows about 1/3 the practice time the '05-08 CBA did. Rodgers probably got 10x the # of practice reps Hundley got as a BU.

Hundley's 1st 3 drives were pretty good; but for 2 INTs.

Hundley's first INT was over prep. Smith let Adams go. Cobb was the correct read and Hundley knew he'd be open; if only Smith played his position correctly. This is where most of Rodgers' INTs come from. Its hard to practice a play repeatedly, develop a mental memory of what to do and then the D does something stupid. The only way to over come your preparation in these cases is to experience.

His 2nd INT he had a big play, Kendricks got behind Weddle, Hundley just didn't get his feet set making it more likely for the ball to slip as he threw, after running for his life with crap OL play. This over anxiousness simply has to be worked out under fire.

Bart Starr started one game as a rookie and had 38 other attempts. In his first 4 starts of his 2nd year GB was 1-3 and Starr had 6 INT...Should have cut the bum, right?

In Favre's 3rd year [after starting 13 in his 2nd season] in his first 4 starts GB was 1-3 Favre had 5 INTs. Should have cut his bum too, right?

Now let's apply the Silver[stein]fish theory and declare stupid and Il-prepared yahoo coaches, Lombardi and Holmgren!

Again the world is shown how emotional and stupid the GB "fan" is. Have some god damn pride; learn your god damn history, and most of all grow fucking up. This isn't like when the "ultra- oft" packer fan was playing with his Barbie and Ken dolls in his 13 YO mental nirvana. Adults adjust their expectations to reality.

Edit: Beast didn't see your post! Okay, yea, let's talk about stuff like that, I didn't think of that so wasn't looking for it in the partial review I've done on Hundleys's play. That's interesting, I'll look!

Did you have any issues when Silverstein and the lot of them were writing flattering puff pieces? Was that "better" journalism?

Asking no questions and pushing the puff piece agenda is not the media's role. They are to ask tough questions and I'm glad to see them starting to do the job they've neglected for years.

There should be a cacophony of tough questions reverberating through 1265. It's time to do their job. I ask questions all the time that should be posted but the circle session never ends. It's really tough watching how this whole thing functions.

In the end, it leaves a fanbase stripped of so much and creates something that just shouldn't be. We should all be asking tough questions and seeking answers not just humpty do going along.

I've been in media, I've seen the web of control. It's ugly and creates false perceptions that flatter the org but is bereft of objectivity. I was in the studio when Jim Saccomano called and warned that we would lose access if we were critical of the team. I was on the call when Ricky Watters was abruptly removed from national airwaves about a negative question the Seahawks didn't want asked. Guess what? No more Seahawks interviews for rest of season. You don't get it. Almost all media in certain cities are nothing but glorified groupies unwilling to ask any pertinent question. When they decide to try they get censored. It's an ugly pathetic charade and all the while the fanbase is shaped just the way an org desires but its through complete and utter manipulation. Despicable. I get that. I've seen it and lived it in several cities.

It is GOOD Tommy is finally doing his job. A guy like McGinn was reviled by the org and most of the fanbase because he wouldn't tickle the ears like everyone else. He was the best we had but hated because he did his job even though some will never understand it.

Don't think The,Steelers have lost since.

Yes let's all congratulate Tom Silverstein for jumping to conclusions on a subject he knows absolutely nothing about.

    Here's a fact.
At 0-10 The Cleveland Browns have not been Eliminated from the playoffs.
36 things must happen the next 6 weeks, if they do, The Browns would make the playoffs at 6-10.
ESPN has the whole thing worked out, just go to their website.

No matter what happens the next 3 weeks with The other NFC teams, if The Packers can win 2 of 3, they will still be in the hunt.!

So tired of coming here and reading how The Packers must fail the rest if the year, because if they do some here think they will get their wish.

Retrospect , a very small part of me hopes it happens so those who want it to will be exposed next year.

For now The Packers have a tough match up Sunday , I'm hoping they can pull off the upset.

They lose, it's back to Lambeau to get ready for Tampa Bay!

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Trouble is he doesn't seem to have improved at all and might even be regressing in some phases of the game from the time he was drafted until today.

He moved the football very effectively the first drive and to a lesser extent the second drive. This is not something that he has shown prior to that in any sort of a meaningful situation. The INTs were bad - But still potentially correctable. Give him at least one, maybe two more games - can he still move the football like that intermittently and cut down on the mistakes? If so, bam - serviceable backup. If not - he doesn't have the head for pro football. But seriously, this is the first game they actually had him run a not-super-conservative offense. Give it at least one more game.

beast (5m) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (6m) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (10m) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (3h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : I think this games over
beast (26-Jan) : Eagles sure get a lot of fumbles on kickoffs
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,

beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
