?

Why is it negative? I would see this as positive! Not a negative thing about this. It would be time for a change from him. There are other possibilities but Mike McCarthy fits the group based on perception.

If you consider Mike McCarthy successful (which you normally don't) then yes he fits the group, but so do others, some of which have rumors about them possible leaving (Saints/Cardinals/Texans) if you consider those head coaches successful.

Also he did not say head coach, so coordinators could be on the list too.

I don't know about very successful, but Marvin Lewis has been there a very long time and did step away from the Bengals earlier this year for health reasons, and lots of people have suggested it's long over due for the Bengals to make some change (but their owner can't fire people)...

Homer to it? That's a new one.

I consider it positive but you told me I'm negative? Now, I'm positive again? I don't follow.

Let this go. It's a story that may apply to our HC. No reason to see a boogie man behind this bush.

I'm thinking it's John Harbaugh, not Mike McCarthy. My dad saw McCarthy's home and it's been recently updated pretty nice. Mike and Jessica have kids here and got it made. It'd be really foolish to leave a QB like Aaron Rodgers because of wanting a new scenery. Imagine if you had Joe Flaaco and his salary to deal with? haha.

You guys are spending a lot of time arguing, it’s weird.

To me, if it’s McCarthy, the “very successful coach” remark makes sense because he referred to himself in this way last year.

That’s the reason to speculate McCarthy here.

Going to Google the old Mike McCarthy qoute...just checked. It was highly.

Still, perhaps the tweeter had forgotten it was highly instead of very. A Bears guy tweeting this just felt like Mike McCarthy to me.

  • Marvin Lewis (health problems earlier this year)
  • Mike McCarthy
  • Sean Payton (rumors last offseason he wanted to be else where)
  • Bruce Arians (rumors this season that he wasn't wanting to be back for 2018 which he says are false)
  • Bill O'Brien (reported that the O'Brien and the GM are butting heads)
  • Or even could be others.[/list]

  • Last year it was offensive coordinator Norv Turner... so it might not be a head coach...

I haven't limited myself to MM. Talked to a buddy of mine about this today. We know it may not be MM, hence, the question mark. Plus, I've said it may not be MM. Enough there to post about it as it certainly could be him.

Z, said he has it made in GB. Likely does but who knows what collusion goes on? He could have his next team picked out. Maybe, Murphy gets it more than I think? Maybe, both Ted Thompson and MM. Maybe, it ain't Mike McCarthy at all?

Mikey ain't leaving. He has a contract through 2018. He needs 2018 for his bounce back year. At $6 million a year he is tied for the 7th highest paid HC .
    Payton/Carroll $ 8 mil
    Billicheat/Ried $7.5
    Harbaugh, John/Fisher $7
    Mikey/Garrett/Arians/Kelly $6

There is little reason to beleive he can get much more elsewhere.

Can we spread that 6 million out over the next few years? 🙂. I'm sure that lofty salary guarantees the best we get is one final disgusting lame duck act of Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson until it's mercifully over.

Oh, I pray we were smart enough to put buy out clauses in both Mike McCarthy and TTs contracts to avoid this lame duck scenario. If this is the best we get when that duo is trying, I'd hate to see when they aren't.
