I had to go with Coaches. While the team could have more talent, I believe there is enough. We have a good Oline, a RB, Receivers and had the best QB on the offensive side, and even with an inexperienced Hundley I believe if the play calling was better we would still have a decent offense. Defensively I also think we have enough talent (again we could have more) but there is something missing in the coaching. Dom defense has a problem across the middle out to about 10-15 yards and I don't know why they haven't fixed it. The CB are not pressing the WR at the LOS and them getting a free release without a pass rush is just deadly. I don't know if the difference was Kevin Greene, but the defense has not had that same fire since he left. With Dom in the both Kevin was the guy on the sideline who kept them going.

I disagree that we have enough defensive talent to get it done no matter who the DC is.
I was a huge Kevin Greene fan when Mike brought him in.
That all changed when our defense got smoked (as they did most of the year) in the 2011 playoff season against the Giants at Lambeau.
My youngest son and I had seats in the south end zone six rows up just to the left of the uprights.
The Packers were warming up on the south end of the field so I had a great view of what was going on.
I watched Kevin Greene and his line backing unit do little warming up and a lot of laughing and joking around.
I told my son, "this doesn't look good" "the Packers defense does not look like they are taking this game seriously".
And the rest is history.

Are we saying Mark Murphy is management or Ted Thompson, or both, or ... who is management?

I like Ted for scouting, but I would rather a GM who takes a pot shot chance in free agency a bit more frequently. I'm not saying Albert Haynesworth. I'm say AJ Bouye.

Ideally, I would like Mark Murphy to get everyone in a meeting and say they need to reinvent themselves or be replaced. Why? Because this shit ain't cutting it homies!!

Super Bowl I and II
~30 years
Super Bowl XXXI
~15 years
Super Bowl XLV

We should be getting to the Super Bowl and winning it at least every five years. That's what Green Bay Packers football is all about.

Ted is a scouting work horse. At least he use to be. He may enjoy it again if he didn't have the burden of the GM duties.

I'm sure the post starter will slap my hands here, but if we're wanting replacement names. I wouldn't mind Scot Mccloughan as our General Manager. I think he's underrated outside of the NFL circle.

EDIT: Because this is good for the "fire everyone" crowd who doesn't have a damn clue ... [TWITTER]929054245072064512 [/TWITTER]

It's easy to lash out at those that don't agree with a certain point of view , but it's just sour grapes in most cases . This thread has asked for members to voice their opinions in a poll and also supplied a place to comment as well . ALL opinions matter , and no one is correct to put down anyone .

HAVE YOU VOTED , NONE NEED KNOW HOW YOU VOTED ( IT'S SECRECT ) .

Managaement or Coaches, depends on whether you think it's the players or the coaches / scheme.

I wish that Ted would pursue free agents a little more aggressively, but overall I think that the team has the talent, they're just underperforming that talent.

Frankly, I've been ready for McCarthy to leave since 2014, when he coached us out of a Super Bowl appearance.

McCarthy chooses his coaches and refuses to ditch Dom Capers. Year after year, the defense is in the bottom half of the NFL, despite first round draft picks (CMIII, Haha, etc) and the occasional free agent (Peppers, etc). It irritates me that Capers scheme is always soft in the middle of the field.

That we're 7 years since our last Super Bowl appearance, and only one SB appearance with the best QB in the NFL is an indictment of McCarthy. Without Rodgers, he would just be an average coach at best.

IMO , you don't blame the Cook when he grills your steak just as you ordered it and yet it is as tough as leather. You blame the person that bought tough steak for the restaurant .

Aaron Rodgers is a perfect example of this . One lost player and the team's offensive production level drops below a wining level . Yes , the QB is the most important player, but the injury shows that he elevated the team to the contender level . Better management would supply the team with better players and such a loss is not so hard to overcome .

EX: Brett Favre's backups were Aaron Rodgers and Doug Pederson . Both a lot better than Mr. Hundley (so far) .
