IMO the Packers defense is no better at stopping people from scoring or on third down, or really in any category now than they were in 2010. Which has basically been the case since 2010. The big thing they did in 2010 was produce a lot of turnovers, and a lot of them were at key points. You can give up a lot of first downs and yardage if you're taking the ball away 3 times a game.

This article reflects what some of us have been saying for years.
We (the Green Bay Packers) would be lucky to be 8-8 with the teams Ted Thompson has built if it wasn’t for number 12.

I would kindly remind everyone that just because we let someone go and they had success somewhere else, doesn't mean that if we would have kept them they'd have success here. Or, if there's a player that has success somewhere else, there's no guarantee they'll have success here.

As you can see with the entire team tanking without 12, this isn't Madden where players are just a bunch of stats in different areas. It's a team game, there's a billion and a half reasons why someone might succeed with Team X but not Team Y.

Same for Hayward at the time. He was not going to be #1 or #2 on the roster so he would not get those snaps. Moving on to organizations where they had an opportunity that they were not going to have here.

Now look at Jahri Evans. Dude has been stalwart, unlike the guys who've been here awhile. Not to jinx him of course.
