As Steve noted in shout... He will be an OLB in our scheme, apparently.
from acme packing company:
Odom, an undrafted rookie out of Arkansas State, measured in at 6’4” and 262 pounds at his Pro Day this spring. His reported workout results include a 4.83 40-yard dash, 20 reps on the bench press, a 31.5-inch vertical, and a 7.67-second three-cone time.
Odom had an excellent performance in the preseason for Atlanta, particularly against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the final game of the preseason. He recorded eight total tackles (six solo), a sack and another quarterback hit, and a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage that ended up becoming an interception.
Per Ryan Wood: Packers were very high on Odom before the draft. Claims he has good "edge strength". He better be strong because he ain't fast. Looks like he can get off blocks. At least blocks of guys who aren't in the league.
Guys at PFF high on Odom: (graded between Takk McKinley and Carl Lawson)

93 – Charles Odom, Arkansas State. He took full advantage of his lone season as a starter at Arkansas State, posting 12.5 sacks, 17.5 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles in 13 games. The Texas native has an NFL pedigree as his father, Cliff, spent 13 seasons with the Colts. Additionally, he played on the same defensive line as number one overall pick, Myles Garrett at Martin High School in Arlington, Texas.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
