That's the list of guys who we cut. There will be guys from other teams. How many PS spots are there, 8 or 10?

Ahmad Thomas, Greer Martini, DeAngelo Yancey, Vince Biegel, Kendall Donnerson, James Looney, Kofi Amichia, Adam Pankey? Odom and Hearns have potential too. Byrd. Donatello Brown, is Hawkins eligible? He'd be a good candidate.

Of the guys the Packers have, here is whom I'd be interested in.
  1. RB Bouagnon
  2. WR Yancey (if they want a 9th WR, which they sometimes keep 3 WRs on the PS, so they might)
  3. OL Pankey
  4. OL Amichia (or the best Center they can fine)
  5. DL Looney (need to keep his potential around)
  6. OLB Biegel (he can still be put on the PS, if no team claims him)
  7. OLB Donnerson (need to keep his potential around, he's a great athlete that still needs to learn to be a football player)
  8. ILB Thomas or Martini

  9. I don't think these two can be placed on the PS but they need a back-up CB at minimum
  10. CB Hawkins (or best CB you can find)
  11. SS Evans (or maybe two ILBers)

I mainly kept Yancey because when Rodgers called the WRs out for their poor practice, Yancey was one of the exceptions that was practicing hard. I very much agree, they should probably should it on a NON-WR position... BUT 1) Packers love their WRs AND 2) Rumor has it, that they might still be trying to trade one of their 8 WRs that made the 53 man roster, at least if some team offers enough, as much as they want.

Maybe a conditional seventh-rounder, but not much more. The Packers simply have no leverage here. They have an embarrassment of riches at the receiver and tight end positions, and that's a luxury that won't be tenable as the injuries roll in (unless all the injuries just happen to be at those two positions). Every team in the league knows this, so anyone who is interested enough will be content to merely wait it out.

Or does anyone really believe the Packers are that high on Davis as a returner?

Davis was ranked as the #1 punter in the league last year on PFF.

Granted, what we saw as fans was a dude who didn't know when to field the ball, when to let it bounce into the end zone and iirc, a dude who wasn't always sure handed fielding the ball. But dude has speed, and he knows how to take an angle. He's a bit of a cream puff but he can make cuts.

Even by normal measurements, statistically from what I understand, he's top 2 or 3. Personally, I can't believe they kept him, but there is theoretically a reason for that. It's not completely out of the blue.

dfosterf (18h) : So eerily quiet here in Alexandria. I live in the flight path of commercial craft coming from the south and west, plus the military craft
dfosterf (18h) : So eeri
Mucky Tundra (22h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (23h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (23h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (23h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.

Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : happy birthday dhazer
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
