I'd like to see plays set up to "knock it out of the park" with the tight ends.
I'd like to see passes to Montgomery out of the backfield.
I'd like to see a shorter passing game in general.
If I never saw the "venerable" Aaron Rodgers throw the "bomb" again, I would be happy.

As for stretching the field with long pass plays , IMO , there are two ways that a WR gets open for the long pass : (1) be fast enough to get separation from his defender , (2) be cleaver enough to trick/fool his defender (like Nelson) .

With Nelson and another "home run" fast receiver to defend , GB's passing game will progressively become one of the NFL's best. In addition , the running game should be good enough to keep oposing defenses honest .

As for those that don't see the value of a FB like Ripkowski , he remains GB's best blocking back in the tradition of John Kuhn and William Henderson . [boxing]

I think you can stretch the field by sending one or two receivers deep and draw the safeties back to cover,
it should open up the short, medium range pass which I think would benefit the tight ends and Monty.
If the safeties start cheating up and leave a man open deep then throw the "bomb".
I just don't want us to depend on the bomb too often as Rodgers ages.

Of course I'm no Mike McCarthy so I could be all wrong.

Who knows!

Anyways, I think we're both more or less in agreement. I think we need to throw downfield some to keep defenses honest but I think (especially at some points) we do it too much.

I do know however that tempers will rise as the season progresses and perhaps I've given some readers something to consider .

Now , getting back on topic , I foresee the GB Offense showing the League how it's done in 2017 . I pray that the Defense will elevate it's play from 2016 and I feel that they will .
