There were some signs of life from this new defense and some interesting options in practice making some noise on the offensive side of the ball. I will review my personal players to watch out for and would love to hear yours!

Mike Daniels

Having not played in the first pre season game, Daniels has had to reclaim his position on the line at practice. The coaches and media appear to be highly impressed with his skills and motor. Out of the new guys, he is probably the most comfortable with the position he is playing as well. I am excited to see how he does when paired up with our other defensive linemen.

Daniel Muir

Our backup big man played admirably well in the first game. Will he continue this kind of play to make himself another great option to spell Raji during the season?

Tori Gurley

The guy has been making plays again during camp just as he did last off season. Now back from injury he has a chance to burn back up defenses and really make a name for himself. It makes things interesting as far as our receivers go for sure! That is, if our back up oline gives Harrell some time.

Marshall Newhouse

Okay buddy. We gotta see you live in game action already ( this season ). I am just excited to see this guy play against starters and not getting our QB killed like Taylor did so we can get a good offensive rhythm going.

Oh and it will be good to see Starks sit out this one, so we can watch some other RBs play and maybe catch the damn ball! I look forward to seeing improvement from MD Jennings. Come on man!

The above mentioned.

Lawrenc Guy - I had hopes he might be a sleeper, coming out early at a young age. But my hopes are fading fast.

Alex Green - does he keep improving with as he heals.

BJ Coleman - does he play as well or better than last week(I thought he did well considering). Would like to see him play with some of the better players around him.

Worthy - can he pick it up.

Casey Heyward -- House's injury creates an opportunity.

Jerron McMillian -- M.D. Jennings played poorly, so there's an opening for McMillian or Anthony Levine.

Jerel Worthy -- I'd like to see the same kind of energy he displayed on Family Night. I didn't see it at San Diego.

D.J. Williams -- He's quietly having a strong camp. There's a chance he gets significant action with the starters if Jermichael Finley sits.

Aaron Rodgers -- I just like watching him play.

Matt Kalil - did a great job in the opener

Harrison Smith - safety, looks good

Christian Ponder - long way to go, but looks better than where he was last year

Stephen Burton - receiver, made a nice 52 yard grab last week, shows some promise

I agree about Daniels. I think he can provide some pocket-collapsing push from the inside.

Also want to see more of Perry. Setting the edge on the run and getting another sack or two. He has power in his bull rush, just hasn't been a standout in camp because he has to go against Bulaga every day.

Nick Perry

Alex Green

Dez Moses

Harrell

Newhouse

Gurley, be nice to see him block a punt, like he was supposedly doing routinely last year in TC.

Nic Cooper. Let's see what the kid's got.

Marc Tyler, he looked good running the ball against scrubs, until he fumbled.

Mike Neal. Let's see what he can do.

The three glaring weaknesses for me in game 1 were LT, cb opposite Tramon, and FS.
So I want to see
Casey Heyward play better, M.D. Jennings play better, and what Newhouse has to offer at LT. I am interested to see if Benson gets any snaps at RB, and if Harrell can show some accuracy in his passes.

IMO Heyward and Jennigs got spun around in coverage. Jennings had his hands full covering Gates. Rivers saw man coverage, a skilled TE and a young DB and took advantage of a young safeties inexperience. Hopefully Jennings learned a valuable lesson.

With Green and Benson the Pack has some good size @ RB so I would like to see what GB can do between the Tackles on first and second down. If the Packers avg 4.0 yrds rushing it would take some pressure off LT and open up some play action.

With our hole at safety and House's injury it would be nice to have some of our young DBs "put it together". So with the other fans I'll be watching/hoping for all of them.
