Were talking about 2 7th rnd draft picks here.
Btw in a draft that was loaded with rb's.

Every year there is talk about a guy not making it to the PS
90% of the time they do.
Every team has their guys they either drafted or signed as udfa's.
At the beginning of the year most teams keep their guys because they have been through the rookie camps, ota's and pre-season.
Once you get them there, then you can protect them by offering more money if another team comes sniffing around.
Plenty of RB's on the roster.
2 will end up on PS.
Packers decide to keep 3 on the final 53, Kerridge will be gone.
3rd RB most likely would be inactive.
Kerridge has proven value on ST's

Yeah it feels like every single year, the fans overrate the Packers talent/depth at WR. As far as I can remember, no WR has been claimed off Packers waivers under Ted Thompson. And there have been very few like Charles Johnson to be signed off the PS.

There does seem to be a great competition on the WR depth chart… but that’s mainly because no one has stepped up or stood out, more so than them being clearly talented.

I’m hoping WR Davis is steps up and is able to be that speed merchant WR this year.

Here's something else we have not had a chance to factor in- With so many QBs coming out in the draft next year, the odds of trading Hundley for any significant draft pick has dropped to almost zero.

But the Jets seem to be purposely tanking, the Browns drafted a QB with a 2nd round pick, and the 49ers drafted a guy with a 3rd round pick, and seem to be waiting either for Kirk Cousin next year, or grab another QB in the draft if they’re not happy with the 3rd round pick. No teams were ever named in the possible Hundley trade, but I was assuming it was the Giants, because they got a head coach that knows MM and his QBs… and Eli’s acting old.

I think Hundley’s trade value is better than nothing… but you’re right… unless he plays down right amazing… it doesn’t look like he’s going to get the Packers that 1st round pick he was wanting. But some team is going to want an already developed guy… not one that still needs to be developed… assuming he looks amazing during the preseason or in a real game.

2 RBs isn't plenty... especially when considering, RBs is often the most injury prone position on offense (or so it seems to me)... Cobb isn't a RB... and they seemed to refuse to use Rip as a RB last year when they could have (and maybe should have). IF... IF... they are willing to play Rip as a RB, this might be a different story... but Rip at times (before Monty) looked like the best RB option they had, and they refused to use him there.

Kerridge has proven he can add value on STs... of course he was only on STs because of injuries to DBs and LBers which kept them off of STs... and the Packers were dead last in kick off coverage because of it. Also Kerridge is a better run blocker and better true FB than Rip... or at least was last year.

I REALLY wanted to see Kerridge at FB and Rip at RB last year... and I don't think they ever it. Though they did try some stupid idea with Rip, Kerridge and Spriggs all playing FB at the same time... horrible idea... hello... just target the backfield... full out blitz... only one target out of the backfield.

Beast's TOO EARLY Mock 53 Man Roster (mid July)

I kept OG/C Amichia over OLB Gilbert - In reality, I thinking it's gonna be on the rookie RBs, but I can't decide which one, and just easier to release Gilbert... especially since Gilbert and/or Calvin might make it to the PS and be ready to be called up if we needed them.

I resign LS Goode over LS Hart - It happened last year... and could happen again, the Packers cut down the to 53 man roster with no LS on the roster... and in a day or two they resign Goode and release another players (like OLB Gilbert or RB).

I questioned if they might do the same thing as they did with the punter last year... signing a punter than was in training camp with another team... but I've struggled finding a punting competion I felt would be interesting and just kept P Vogel.

Michael Clark is 217lbs... that's not really TE weight... especially at 6'6" which probably means he's tall and quite skinny. Also according to Packers.com the 2016 season was the first time Michael Clark played organized football since his freshman year of high school. He's raw as can be... he's a long term project, which is why he wasn't drafted despite his amazing track numbers for his size.

But some have said Kerridge was a better pure blocker last year, if he improves in other areas he might be able to push Ripkowski some.

Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis are 2 of the fastest receivers in The NFL.
Either can stretch the field.
Can we please look forward.
Janis was a very raw 7th round pick, he has survived by becoming one of the best gunners in football.
Maybe just maybe it all comes together for him this (his 4th) year.

Had Trevor Davis not fumbled against (Houston?), and got into Mike's doghouse he might have had a better year.

I still think Janis makes it and Davis will get more chances and show he is worth the 2nd round pick. Only his second year.

Not sure why everyone wants to rush these rookie rb's onto the roster.
They aren't going anywhere but The Packers practice squad.
One of them will join Montgomery, Ripowski, Kerridge and yes Randall Cobb as the change of pace rb/wr on the final 53.
Two will make the Practice Squad and get themselves ready in case of injury.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress

Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
dfosterf (7-Aug) : out on a field trip, outfitting them with little yellow smocks. Most of the little folk were well behaved, but several were like trying
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Yesterday my wife and I spent the afternoon on the waterfront here in Alexandria, Va. A daycare company took about 15 three/four year olds

Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Sure does feel like site is more snappy
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy
Mucky Tundra (3-Aug) : Update: Rock has tried a cheese curd, promises it's not his last
