The doldrums of the offseason are tough for any NFL fan. We’ve officially hit the dead period. The draft is over. OTAs are done. There is nothing …

Though I VERY disagree with the writer's idea that Daniels plays a position "that does not have a lot of value." Daniels plays the 3 tech penetrator position, which is the most valuable inside DL role... and a great guy there can be just as useful (and some say more useful) than a great outside edge guy, because he can control the OL and make it so the QB can't step up into his throws.

Daniels, Matthews, Perry, Bulaga, Nelson and Bennett would all certainly have to be talked about... but at the same time... I'm thinking you'd need to also focus on some of the younger guys that might be here for the next decade plus.

Some of the younger guys include C Linsley, WR Adams, Clinton-Dix, Montgomery, Randall, Spriggs, Brice, King, SS/LB Jones, Clark, DL Adams

While Clinton-Dix is certainly one of the best (if not the best) of those talents as of last year... what about the future? When healthy, Randall looked good as a rookie. Spriggs has unlimited potential, but was still extremely raw last year. King has a ton of potential. Clark looked surprisingly good as a DT late in the season, when most DTs do nothing their rookie years as they adjust to the NFL.

But the Packers seem to have a couple of option at Safety (Haha/Brice/Jones), OT (Bulaga/Spriggs), CB (Randall/King)...

As the third guy to go with Rodgers and Bak, I might be most interested in the 21 year old (and almost youngest guy on the team (missed it by 25 days)) DT Kenny Clark... the kid played great in the playoff game against the Cowboys (who were said to have the best OL in the NFL)... and he's still learning the NFL game.

I don't know if he will for sure, but he has the potential to grow into a dominating man in the middle... and I've heard an article detailing how he showed great stamina in college as he rotated out extremely little compared to most DTs. And he has gotten some pressure too, though no sacks yet... but he opens up others allowing them to be more free and go after the big flashy plays.

Aaron, then maybe Clay and Nick? Inmight say Morgan Burnett, but we've got some depth back there.

Jordy is old, Cobb has lost it, Davante is unproven, more steak than sizzle. Bakhtiari maybe, but we've got Spriggs too. Linsley?

Aaron Rodgers, Nick Perry, Corey Linsley?

I really like Linsley, but a decent/good center is easier to find another than some other positions. Of course, with the weaker than normal OGs right now, that could hurt more than normal. But the Packers have a couple of options at OG, which someone might be able to move over... like the Packers draft pick who played Center as a freshmen in college and Barclay.

I wanted to go with Matthews or Nick Perry as options, but I just don't quite trust them to stay healthy.

This hypothetical situation states that GB can only protect 3 players from an expansion draft . Given the power to do so I would protect :
QB - Aaron Rodgers
LT - David Bakhtiari
DT - Mike Daniels

That said , were I the GM of the new Expansion Team , who would I grab from the remaining Packers ?
I would take grab the best available player , Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix .
