Any jail or prison is no vacation resort. The meals are designed to save the facility money and the portions are not as generous as the movies would have you to believe . Bed space is often at a premium and those with the least time in a cell or pod must sleep on floor mats. As for medical care , even those not in a prison/jail must get medical treatment , yet on the outside the rich will always be cared for the best .
If your not living better than someone in a jail/prison , it is either their own fault or you need the help that has been set in place to rescue those that qualify under the current strict set of laws .
As for justice , we say that one is innocent until proven guilty . The sad truth is that prosecutors deliberately charge people at greater crime levels in order to win with a plea bargain to a lower charge. That way they win, the Defense Lawyer get's his fee, and the Judge saves the time and expense of a longer trial. The real truth is that if you can't prove your innocent of a crime, you will get ROYALLY SCREWED .
