Sounds like Gary Barnidge is going to visit 3 teams (unless someone blows him away with an offer). He's already done visiting the Bills, next up is the Kentucky derby, then the other two teams. The other two teams are to be rumored to be the Panthers and Jaguars.
Barnidge used to play with the Panthers and Jacksonville is the closest NFL city to where he grew up.
It depends on Barnidge's price tag to weather the Packers should be interested or not. If he's cheap enough it could be very nice adding him to the Packers roster, especially since I've always considered Kendricks an H-back (WR/FB tweener TE type) more than an inline TE... and Richard Rodgers is simply put a slow possession WR.
It's hard for me to say who's better between Barnidge and Kendricks because their QBs have sucked. But
profootballfocus's graph suggest that, in 2016, Barnidge, Bennett and Kendricks were the top 3 TEs in pass blocking efficiency (among TEs with at Least 90 pass block attempts).
Great pass protection from the TEs sure could come in handy especially if the Packers OL does take a hit with losing so many players recently. Barinidge could focus more on inline, Kendricks on H-back and Bennett can play any TE role.
Also I believe Bennett and Kendricks both have one year team options, meaning if the Packers want, they can decide to not pick up the future years and they'll be FAs again.
