May be fond of it, but his offensive genius isn't able to replicate it. Maybe if he could, we would see more play designed to get players open rather than just lining up and expecting the players to win their matchups.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

My response would be What's not to be fond of and who wouldn't be fond of it. I wouldn't expect someone like McCarthy to say anything else. Can you imagine a head coach saying something like I really don't care for how they run things offensively up there in New England. It just doesn't strike me as being to good. He would be laughed out of the league.

It's no not much different than Aaron Rodgers saying Tom Brady is the GOAT or Tom Brady saying Aaron Rodgers can make plays he can't. Its smart people knowing what to say.

The Patriots Coach / General Manager picks the players that he will coach . He is in control of both buying and cooking his teams groceries . He knows his teams unique personalities and what will/will not work in his locker room. Belicheck after-all does have a degree in Physiology .

McCarthy may want to look at some of the Patriots Two Tight End Sets . Yet more than that, he needs to look at the Patriot's Championship Winning Defenses .

I LOVE the signing of Bennett. Perfect fit.

HOWEVER.... In 2017/18 Jared Cook will have more TD's and more receiving yards than Martellus Bennett.

A few years ago I may have called it a lock simply because the Raiders were such a poor offensive team that one talented player could prove to be the main cog n the offense but now they are similar to GB in that they have multiple threats catching and a pretty darn good QB throwing it. 1 player is going to have a difficult time setting himself above everyone else. Even if he does it won't prove anything although you will have Packers fans saying we should have kept Cook. Cook would have had every opportunity in GB just as he will in Oakland (we can still say Oakland right, its not Las Vegas yet is it)

The main differnce is that their QB is willing to hit the open guy, even for less than 10 yards. Hopefully the signing of Bennett will open our own QB's mind to such possibilities.
