The topic on the show, today, was...

If you had to break down a pie, and split up the credit between, MM, Ted Thompson and AR12, what would be your percentages?

LeRoy Butler checked in with the following answer...

MM= 0%... Aaron Rodgers= 0%... TT= 100%

Say, what? What? LeRoy not getting any HOF love must've caused him to lose his freaking mind! I listened to him and I'm not certain LeRoy wasn't impaired.

My percentages:

AR12= 80%

MM=10%

TT= 10%

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

It IS ridiculous that Butler gets 0 HOF consideration while Atwater and Lynch are finalists.

I don't know what percentages I would do but probably not that lopsided. Look at NO they have a great QB and can't even win 8 games 4 out of the last 5 seasons. 10% Ted Thompson would just be complete incompetence and he's not nearly that bad. He may not do enough but he at least does SOMETHING. Whatever % goes to Mike McCarthy I would knock down some just based on the fact that he keeps Capers around no matter what happens with the defense.

I mean, if the guy isn't getting it done, shouldn't the higher ups step in and DO something about it?

Without Aaron Rodgers, we would be at best a .500 team year in and year out.

Aaron is a truly, truly special QB. QB rating of over 104 for his career which I believe is still the highest in NFL history and the lowest INT%. We see him do things no other QB can do. Brees surely ain't close. To have what we have at QB is why we win. Ted did draft him. Credit due.

I just think Ted holds this team back in all sincerity and is not worthy of much credit for this entire team as it's heavily dependent on the QB position to win. I think Matt Millen could GM this team to a comparable mark with Rodgers as his QB. As for MM, I think almost any other NFL head coach could get these results. In fact, I honestly believe Aaron doesn't respect McCarthy in the same way Brett didn't respect Sherman. I think Aaron sees our GM like Brett did...a hindrance, and his HC the same way. Both impediments to SB championships, so it's hard for me to give them much more percentage of the success pie knowing most will completely disagree and that's fine.

Leroy ain't that dumb.
I think he is saying Thompson deserves 100% of the credit for the Packers not being able to get over the hump.
Thompson keeps the Packers stuck in second gear with his rigid ideology.
McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

I doubt that even the most boot licking Thompson supporter would believe that Thompson is 100% responsible for the Packers successes.
He is however responsible for the lack of talent at certain positions that keep the Packers from getting over the hump at a time when he has one of the finest quarterbacks ever to play the game under contract.
