Id like us to go back to man to man coverage with our dbs ... and ya get some tall dbs that can do the job. I like clinton dix, didnt get a defense player of the week a few weeks back?

Capers has normally used man coverage, but this year they couldn't stay in man coverage because their best healthy CB (Gunter) is slow and was a #2 CB type... while the others CBs struggled to be good against #2 and #3 guys.

Please, Capers failed because he is stubborn, he schemes a defense and he sticks to that without adjustments, when it works it works when it fails it is embarrassing.

The Packers even went man coverage like you suggested and it was worse than zone coverage because the CBs couldn't physical keep up.

In man coverage, the Packers couldn't even get the Falcons into 3rd down...

In zone coverage, the Packers still couldn't stop the Falcons... but it took the Falcons a lot more plays to get to the redzone... and with zone coverage, the Packers were able to get them into a number of 3rd downs.... now they failed on almost every single one... but they had potential chances of stopping them unlike when they were in man coverage.

Datone Jones became a bust the moment they changed his position.

We honestly have probably the worst DL development and scouting in the league.

Outside of Mike D... the last 6 years have been absolute garbage.

Current GM won as many Super Bowl's a Ron Wolf and
- drafted future hall of fame QB.
- landed future hall of fame CB.
- landed future hall of fame LB.

Former GM went outside the org and added Brett Favre and Reggie White. Nuff said just by saying that. However, he added so much more than just those two. He understood when he failed he had to do something to mitigate those failures. Current GM just stops by the Dollar Store and picks up a part time employee and gives him a job with the Packers. Give me the Reggie White's of the world over the LaDarius Gunter's.

Former GM had to BUILD a winner from decades of ineptness. Changed the culture in Green Bay. Former GM was a passionate man who spoke to the media and fans. Current GM is a odd duck who hides and shuns his public responsibilities.

Former GM hired Mike Holmgren a rising star from the star powered Niners org...Current GM hired MM who was the coordinator for the 32 ranked offense in the NFL when given the job.

Former GM was very aggressive and cared about winning championships. Back to back SB appearances and screwed out of a 3rd by the phantom Rice fumble. Current GM just lives with worst debacle in NFC Championship history and flatlines his job during 12's career.

Former GM's Packers teams DESTROYED Carolina and SF to get to the SB and rocked NE to win. Current GM needed to hide his eyes while hoping the great Caleb Hanie a 3rd string QB didn't ruin our SB dreams in an incredibly tight finish.

Former GM could fill a hole even during a season: See Andre Rison...bomb for TD in SB. Current GM might make you wait 2-3 years to fill a hole and that's usually with a UDFA.

Oh, boy, was I ever happy as could be back in the Wolf Holmgren days...throw in Bob Harlan and Jim Irwin and Max McGee. No comparison to the new age Packers.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
