Nothing was misrepresented. You have spun it your way. The team was gutted to justify firing him. He said today he wasn't going to fire Mike McCarthy based off one year. Why fire a guy with a winning percentage that rivaled the greatest coaches we've ever had. Ted forced trash players on him, ones he would've never played with himself. He goes 4-12 and gets fired after one bad year with Taco Wallace at WR?
That's not consistent with what Ted said today. It makes it even more so that Ted didn't gut MM's players this year and was never going to think about firing him after one bad season so how does he purposely punish Sherman and then fire him after one bad season?

The team was gutted because the team was in serious cap trouble as Sherman kept borrowing more and more from future years, which is why they kept redoing Favre's contract which gave Favre future money to open up more more now... you can't keep that up over the long term ... and Sherman tried too...
The team was gutted because the cap trouble and they needed to free up the cap by spending less ... it's that simple.
Sherman refused to directly communicate with Thompson over that first year, which is why he was released. If Sherman would of been willing to work with Thompson he would have been kept longer. That why you fire someone because they're unwilling to work with their boss...
