As I said during the game, it didn't bother me at all that he went for it on fourth down. It didn't even bother me that he called a run -- statistically, that was the right call. What irked me was that there was no attempt at misdirection at all. They defense was bunched up the middle and they ran it up the gut instead of taking advantage of thin coverage on the edge. In the end, it didn't matter, though. Green Bay destroyed New York.

I don't thinknit hurt us too much tho. Both teams traded TDs after that, but it also set a tone.

What this team has done with McCarthey's leadership is create personnel groupings to combat almost anything. Even without DRC, that's probably the best back-end of a defense going right now. The way Mike coaches this team throughout the game to get out guys into favorable match-ups is some of the best in the league. Proud to be a Packer fan today. Woohoo.

Even though all that big free agent spending made the Giants better this season, the Packers are still better, and won't have the nasty cap ramifications that are likely to occur at some point. Ted Thompson winning.

I see this as McCarthy being aggressive at the wrong time and with a bad play call. That early in the game never go for it with that small of a lead. You fail and are almost in FG range to begin with and as we saw, one play from a TD. I was surprised NY didn't go for 2 in that situation. If we had been on the other side of the 50 at NY 45 or 40, than yeah, going for it is a better decision because you don't gain much field position with a punt.

Packers need to figure out how to run a damn QB sneak. If they can't get less than a yard on a sneak they have a problem.

I liked the call to go for it, but I didn't like the idea of using a runningback 10 yards in the backfield. I thought a quick hand off to Rip or Michael would have been better. Just took to long for Monty to get up into the line and by that time the giants had already filled any semblance of a hole there may have been.
