He's been on 3 teams/3years and has been decent, not great, on STs, and obviously he's put nothing on tape as a LB for other teams to want him; but he's also been miscast, all the teams he's been on have been 4-3. He is not an MLB. So maybe he will show something more at ILB, we'll see.

Now, when we play Seattle in POs, in Seattle, well be able to heist intel from a D [Tripp] and an O [Michael] guy that played several games on Seattle this year.

Because they're not stuck up and don't see it as hurting their team. NFL personal people talk, especially to people they consider friends. And it takes the Packers off the market for possible available players the Seahawks might want. So they get something out of it as well.

If a personal person likes a player, but there is no place on their team for that player (like there was no room for Trip on the Seahawks) then they might tell others. I mean the Seahawks put Trip on IR just two weeks ago and now he's healthy enough to sign with another team. That's basically getting rid of a player, just like the Packers did with S Banjo and WR Abbrederis.

Because the team/player have to come to terms of an injury settlement, and no team can sign the player until the injury settlement is up and said team in the injury settlement can't sign that play for 6 weeks after the other 31 teams can. So the Seahawks were done with Trip and moved on... why not promote him? This also helps the Seahawks, because if the Packers sign Trip, that's one less team competing for an available player they want... such as LB Ronald Powell, who the Seahawks recently signed to their 53.
