Nelson has bounced back from a season-ending knee injury in 2015 to once again become the Packers’ leading receiver with 75 catches for 913 yards and 12 touchdowns.

It’s the third time in Nelson’s career he has at least 12 touchdown receptions in a season, joining Sterling Sharpe as the only two players in team history to do so.

Also, Nelson’s 41 receiving yards propelled him to 7,022 for his career, becoming just the fifth player in team history to eclipse 7,000 yards.

However, there may be no stat that better embodies his consistency than the fact he now has caught 57 touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers, which ties Brett Favre and Antonio Freeman for the most productive touchdown combination in franchise history.

Ninety-nine receiving touchdowns is incredible, especially in that era. Was Hutson the only credible receiving threat on the team at that time?

I'm so glad that Jordy is finally starting to LOOK like Jordy! He's making big time catches, and seems to be back to form.
Having Davante Adams playing like a man on a mission helps Nelson as well. A team can't just double cover Nelson when you have Adams (and Cobb) to worry about.
Those 3 guys can make life a lot easier for the rest of the team if they can keep it up through the playoffs!😍

He led league in FGs made in '43 and xtra points '41, '42 and '45. In '43 he was a perfect 36 for 36 in xtra points.

Typically, back in the day, during the fantasy league drafts, the guy with first pick grabbed Hutson and didn't even waste his time to pick in subsequent rounds, ya know, because there were no bye weeks back then.

Those numbers makes me think. What would Lofton's numbers been like if he had played in todays NFL? Can you imagine having Rodgers or Favre throwing the ball to Lofton on one side and Jefferson on the other. I think back to Sterling and realize he was smaller than Monty is today yet Sterling was a prototypical WR then and Monty is a slot receiver today how would Sterling be used if he came into the league today.

Very glad to see Jordy being productive and love seeing him not being used just as a vertical threat or sideline receiver. In that role he probably has at least two good seasons left in him, with Adams getting closer to his potential. If they stay on pace we will end the season with 2 1100 yard WR which I prefer over a 1500&700yarders. Looking forward I'm not sure what I want to see. Monty joining the WR party for a 4 wide group of Jordy, adams, cobb and Monty. Or keep Monty in the backfield in a sproles type role.

    Damn those tough choices.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Martha Careful (5-Nov) : any interest in Marshon Lattimore?
Zero2Cool (4-Nov) : What does NFL do if they're over cap?
Mucky Tundra (4-Nov) : They've been able to constantly push it out through extensions, void years etc but they're in the hole by 72 million next year I believe
hardrocker950 (4-Nov) : Seems the Saints are always in cap hell
Mucky Tundra (4-Nov) : Saints HC job is not an envious one; gonna be in cap hell for 3 years
