It;s a daily struggle. I guess i wasn't prepared for the after surgery. I thought it would be lots better then it is. Guess i'm impatient.
It's gonna take months just to get back to normal activities. I work my butt off every day.
But i'm trying to remain positive. Just keep doing what i'm told, and try my 100% best.

I actually have been trying to stay up later, so that i can sleep better. I get about 2 and a half hours before the pain wakes me, and i have to take another pain pill.
I take NO pain pills during the day. I don't want to abuse them.
But i AM breathing much better at night! The first 4 nights were terrible. I would lay down, and feel like i was suffocating. Now it's better. I try to keep those kinds of little "wins" in mind.

Oh......guess what?????
I got a surprise today from one of my wife's co-workers and his sons! They found out you guys got me the Wii, and they got Madden 09 for me!!!

You guys gift just keeps on giving for me! I played a half of one game before i tuckered out and had to rest.
THANK YOU ALL again for the Wii!!!!!!!
Every time i turn it on, i think of how my Packer "family" cared enough to do that for me!!!
I will NEVER forget it!!!!!

Cheesy how is it going with that leg swelling? Hope it is under control and i'm happy to hear your resting better. Glad your enjoying the wii...they are a blast when you have company.

I'm back from an exhausting trip to Spokane and Pullman WA. Gotta go back Wed. to pick up our son as he returns from New Mexico....(he and his sister went to Dallas for yesterdays NHL game Penguins vs. Stars)

Just remember, it's going to take some time for everything to heal up. Take it easy....or anyway you can........get lots of rest, and listen to your body and Drs.

LOL! Yeah I was wondering about that as well.

The swelling went down a little, which ANY improvement is good! It still feels like a tightly packed sausage on the left side of my right leg. But i'm doing my exercises!
You can kind of see some of it in this photo. This was when i was still in the hospital though.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....i have to see my surgeon on the 9th. I'm HOPING to be able to plead my case to him.
I still want to go to Fan Fest. I mean, geez, i have my ticket and everything.
My wife told me that she will take me up there and stay at the motel while i go to the fest if i can get the OK from the doc.
I bought a $10 portable stool to carry to sit on if i get tired.
Now i just have to convince the doc!!!
I'd hate to miss my first Fan Fest because of some stupid little thing like open heart surgery!!!!
