True... but relevant facts are even more fascinating.
1) The injured reserve doesn't carry all the injured players... clearly TE Cook, RB Starks, CB Randall and many more have been injured for the Packers and have not had anything to do with the injured reserve list. But this method of counting injury doesn't count them.
2) This method also doesn't factor in the value or depth of the player(s). The Packers have had a number of starters injured... Shields, Randall, Cook, Matthews, Ryan, Martinez, Lang, Lacy and probably more... all starters... are the injures on other teams a lot of their starters?
3) I believe the Packers have released most of the players they have put on the injury reserve this season. Does this method count those players that were placed on the injury reserve and then released?
The Packers currently only have 5 players on the IR: CB Shields, RB Lacy, RB Crockett, RB Jackson and CB Dorleant (rumor has it the Packers are going to be taking someone off the IR as well).
But what about all the other players who were released after being put on the IR? Such as Banjo and Abby?
