Davante Adams is the Packers #1 wide receiver. Who wants to argue that?

The Packers’ offense has been in disarray since Nov. 1 of last season.

We saw something different last week. We saw Green Bay try to break out of its shell and actually resemble a complete team.

And the reason is because of Davante Adams. He had the best game of his two-and-a-half year career with 13 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordy Nelson clearly isn’t back from offseason knee surgery and Randall Cobb still struggles with press coverage. And because of that, Adams should be the team’s No. 1 receiver for the rest of the year.

As long as coach Mike McCarthy keeps his stale offense chugging along, it is imperative that the receivers can win their one-on-one matchups — since he doesn’t call many rub routes, pick plays or crosses that are designed to get receivers open.

He can't be a #1!
He's not 6'4" with a 48" vertical and 4.30 speed !
😄😄
The Bears had ONE good th(Porter), he was on Jordy all night.
Which gave Ty , Randall, and Davante the better math ups.

Let's see what happens th8s week.

Does it really matter?

I've never dislike Adams that much, other than I thought they should of benched him last year because he's ankle was clearly not healthy... he was trying hard but making route cuts was clearly killing him and by the second or third cut he was done on a play. Adams is like James Jones in some ways... I don't think he'll ever be a true #1 but he can be successful as a good depth guy.

Though when he gets the ball in his hands and the defender is trying to contain him, I hate how he always stops, does a little shake to see if he can lose the defender and then stops again to looks to set up a second shake... that defender has ten friends on the field and this is the NFL... they're going to get to you before you set up your second shake... especially if you keep stopping before the set up. Either need to get rid of the stop and make the set-up one fluid motion or always go on the first shake (or maybe even not shake at times... mix it up, once in a while put your shoulder into his chest, and if you're successful, that will add extra reaction time for the defender which will give your shake change a higher change of working.

This group of posters doesn't understand the concept of what a playmaker / threat number one reciever is.

We've had two such receivers in the last 25 years: Sterling Sharpe and Javon Walker

Every other "star" receiver we've had is at best a great 2nd receiver with a great quarterback padding his stats. Each should be sending said quarterback royalties from their income.

If anyone was making that offense go it looks like it was Jordy Nelson, the guy who once had 3 TDs and 162 yards with dead arm Matt Flynn as his QB.

He is not the #1 until he can put up the numbers when opponents play him like the #1, not the #3.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
