Jordy Nelson has been inconsistent and unreliable.

This was the kind of game Jordy Nelson might have had in Week 1, when the Green Bay Packers receiver played for the first time in more than a year after he missed all of 2015 with a knee injury.

Instead, it came in Week 5.

Nelson not only struggled in Sunday night’s 23-16 win against the New York Giants, but he took it hard. Despite a touchdown catch -- his fifth in four games this season -- Nelson appeared downtrodden and took much of the blame for another inconsistent performance by the offense.

"We left a lot out there," a somber Nelson said. "I didn’t help very much in that aspect, so it’s still good to come away with a nice win like that when you know we can do a lot better, especially myself. I didn’t put us in very good situations."

What bothered Nelson most were his two drops -- one that bounced into the hands for Giants cornerback Jarnois Jenkins' interception one play after a penalty wiped out a touchdown to Randall Cobb, and another that killed a third-quarter drive that ended with a punt.

Can't run anymore.

His legs are gone.

Jordy may not have his best game or even his 50th best game bit he is not solely to blame.

While the int did hit him in the hands it was a tough catch. The ball was high and outside. 6 inches lower or further inside and he makes the catch. Heck, 3 inches would have been enough.

Even the TD was way outside. 1 inch further away and he probably doesn't come up with it.

Either ever single receiver is constantly running the wrong route or the pinpoint accuracy Aaron has been known for in the past has all but left him.

Back to the int- why wasn't Jenkins breaking toward Jordy? IIRC he was basically running a deeper route (in the other direction) parallel to Jordy. Most defenders try and get to the receiver to make the tackle or try and defend the pass. Jenkins didn't. I think the word is out that Aaron is off target and he was playing deep to try and snag an errant pass.

Of all the players on the Green Bay Packers Jordy Nelson is one of the least of my worries.

Yes, Nelson had a bad game. But the other guys (Adams and Cobb) stepped up.
And the catch Nelson DID make in the endzone for the TD was something to behold.

I'm GLAD he's upset with himself. I'd rather see that then him be OK with it.
It will make him play even better.

Maybe he was concentrating on the sales of Jordy Flakes?

If Jordy's legs are shot, he will still be a great possession receiver. I would wait until the end of the season before I'd say whether his legs were shot or not. He looked a little clunky on one of his double moves I noticed.

Even if he is a step slower, I think he can still contribute with savvy route running and backs shoulder throws, etc. I think the jury is still out.
