Been searching like crazy on all the forums I go to.

A while back Andrew Brandt was on the radio maybe in Green Bay, and the radio broadcast was in a link...

He stated with out a doubt that the Packers could have kept Mike Wahle.

I am sure we talked about it on this forum...

so does anyone recall that?, got the radio link, or transcript?

I did find this:

Gerry Fagan said:

Andrew, I really enjoy your insights from the money side, especially because I am a Packer fan. In light of your discussions about Ahman Greens negotiations, do you care to share the thinking and the process when the Pack let both Riveria and Wahle go?

To which Andrew Brandt replied:

I talked about losing Rivera in a piece I wrote last month  about Jerry Jones, it is in the archives. I will write about Wahle at some point.

I posted about it awhile back when I had heard it. It was on the radio show Sportsline with Chris Havel. Andrew Brandt said that without question we could have kept Wahle, but it would have cost us other players. He also said that any player can be kept, but you have to weigh in at what cost to the team.

I think Brandt was saying that keeping Wahle would have hurt the Packers because of their cap situation and what it would have cost them.

For what its worth, Ted said that Wahle was someone we should have retained.

This is quickly becoming a non-issue. He is 31 years old and started 11 games last year.

Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Er getting traded twice like that

Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : on new site, would Fan Shout and GameDay Chat show same messages?
Mucky Tundra (10-Mar) : The Hall of Fame stuff probably came from a scout as Zero said; at this point though it's hard to see them moving ZT from RT
Mucky Tundra (10-Mar) : Regarding ZT at C, Gute had said he felt C was ZTs best position after he was drafted.
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.
beast (10-Mar) : I don't think the media person ever told the public the source, but Gute or LaFleur did say they thought Tom has earned his spot at OT
beast (10-Mar) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (10-Mar) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
