Lang shootin' off his mouth  about Sitton's departure. Lang is publicly questioning the organization about Sitton's release. He wants an explanation. He is tacitly saying the move was irrational.

So exactly how is this:

Lang said. "I don't think we're ever going to get an explanation. It's not our job to understand. We don't make those decisions. We don’t always have to understand or agree with them. Our job is to show up and play football. Like I said, I could sit here and speculate for hours. The fact is, I don't know the reasons behind it, and I don't think we probably ever will. I think that makes it a little tougher to move on, but you've just got to find a way.”

considered shooting his mouth off?

Sounds like he is making the best out of losing his best friend. Is he happy about it? Certainly not.
Is he making a big deal about it? Certainly not.
Some reporter asked what he knew. He told them. I thought he handled the matter very well.

Shooting his mouth off would be going on and on about how unfair Josh was treated.

He should visit Minnesotta or Dallas. Compared to those psycho-maniacs Teddy is the image of rationality.

But yes, it was an irrational move.

Agreed wpr. I'm really trying hard to suspend my emotions on this but it's getting harder not to, and imagine how the best friend of the guy who also is in a contract year feels right now? Lang was told he can't negotiate his contract in season either. If I'm him right now, I'm thinking the organization can go eff themselves. All things considered, he handled himself like a champ.

IMO, the Josh Sitton case is yet another example of Tightwad Ted being Tightwad Ted , again .

Let us not condemn these men for being human and having emotions. As long as they don't negatively impact other people, let's allow these players to feel things every once in a while without being immediately trashed.
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

If this was truly salary cap related, as others have pointed out, cutting Peppers would have knocked 7 million off the Packers' books this year.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
