That's an easy thing to say right now. When it doesn't work out with three guys who have little to no (starting) experience and are all late picks or undrafted you'll have to find some way to fix that position.

I assume that might be one of the reasons we're keeping six safeties. I reckon we might see some safeties at LB positions in certain sub-packages. You have to wonder hoe that'll turn out, though.

I think they are more committed to the "use a S at ILB" idea this year with having Burnett practicing there and everything. Brice looks like a guy who could possibly fill that role as well, guys who can fly up and make tackles in the run game as well as run with WRs on routes.

I don't understand why this organization puts so little value on the inside linebacker position. Different year, same story, but hopefully it works out this time.

Packers seem most concern with attempting to have strong DL and DBs... and I personally like that. Can't ever have enough good DL and DBs... which just leaves the ILBers (as 3-4 OLBers are edge rushers just like 4-3 DEs).

Also it might not always be about the position value as the draft board... just having a different player rated higher pick and they don't fall to the Packers lower round pick.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
