After watching the horror show that was the Packers last season, and to follow it up with the mamby pamy let's not get hurt pre-season and then follow that up with the release of one of their best players?

Something is very wrong at 1265. This is not the stable "winning" org everyone has come to believe that it is. How can Ted Thompson just let a player walk who is UNDER CONTRACT? Especially, given there is no Aaron Rodgers behind Josh Sitton. It's absolutely insane to do this. He could've held onto him and traded him after cuts without this getting out in the wind. He gave up major bargaining power on top of his weak kneed response to just letting him go because Josh wanted him to?

The mojo in Packer land is not good. No Jordy on the field this entire preseason and playing scared throughout and then this with Sitton coming off last year's nightmare?

Our best WR is an unknown with his knee, and our best OL is now getting to have his way because he wants to leave over money. Not the hallmark of a top flight organization.

Could be the fall of the empire. Intangibles aren't in our favor.

Can we at least wait until Monday after the team has scoured the waiver wire, or until we know what actually happened with Sitton before we assume the place is about to self destruct? This roster will be dynamic AT LEAST through the weekend, so lets breath for a minute or two here.

We're starting to deal with our team like the Patriots do. I many guys do they cut or let walk instead of folding to player's demands.

This Sitton deal is about money, and they can now use his salary to pay Tretter, Bahktiari, or Lang.

When Teddy Bridgewater went down with his destroyed knee, the Packers were then favored in all 16 of their games. I wonder how the recent releases will change that.

The place HAS self destructed...did you watch last year? Oh, sure, write that we made the playoffs and won a game but did you watch the chaos on the field and the issues that were going on? It was a trainwreck...total and complete. This offseason has been a soft let's not get hurt puss out program and then they release their best OL because he was unhappy over money? I applauded Ted for how he handled Brett. Perfectly. Best thing he did in his time here minus doing the no brainer of picking Rodgers as he fell down the board. Now, he's folded, completely, and set a terrible precedent. Someone wrote TJ Lang shouldn't ask for money? Why would he...he can go get it elsewhere next year. I think the opposite...ANY Packer who doesn't like his contract can just get his release because he's set a new precedent with letting Sitton walk.

Finally, and again for emphasis...WHO is taking his spot? There is no Rodgers behind Favre here. There's GARBAGE behind him. Barclay has been floated. Don Barclay? That's like saying we covered for releasing Rodgers by trading for Joel Stave. C'mon, man. This is ridiculous.

If they sign Sitton to a lower contract, then your comments will look foolish.

Let's just let this next week play out before getting hysterical. It is 53 players, this and future cap space and budgets.

Playing chicken or poker, don't overreact.

I don't even care what happens with Sitton going forward. Have you not seen enough disarray starting in the 4th quarter in Seattle? It's not gotten any better. Last year was beyond belief as to the way this org operated. The coaching changes made after Seattle, the take back late in season of play calling...NOBODY does things like that. NOBODY. Rodgers had the worst body language of any guy in the league. Clearly, miserable over what he had to deal with week in week out. When your MVP looks pissed and your org is clueless trotting out Davante Adams game in game out and does nothing to rectify it when it could've is a bad sign.

Now, it's gone on and played scared all pre season which is total pussy for the game of football. That is not leadership. That is pussy. Now, it's released it's best OL with NOBODY behind him. Literally NOBODY. Sitton is going to re-sign with us? Really?

    wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
    Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
    Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
