If you read what you typed that's bolded above...you get it, finally. That is the total lie I was fed about why we released Sitton...to keep some bottom feeding UDFA who will do NOTHING for us. I vehemently disagreed with that viewpoint.

Lane Taylor and Don Barclay?

(by the way, everyone, if you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic. While Thompson and company may think one or both of them are better, as indicated by their both still being on the roster, I don't. I'm not even sure either of them are better than Sitton with a bad back.)

No issues with saving money for next season if it's logical. Cutting Julius made much more sense...makes a lot more and is ancient and running on fumes. He stays as an OLB but we're in a "youth movement" on the OL? Makes no sense. We want to be OLD at OLB but young at OL. Got it. That's just a line fed to us to placate the fans who love the org and thinks it can do no wrong. They weren't trying to go younger on the OL. Subterfuge at it's finest.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Oh, and don't worry Dodd Power... I always leave this board before the season starts. To me, the season starts Monday. I'll be done after tomorrow

I'll be intrigued to see where Sitton winds up, and whether or not that team, if they weren't before, immediately becomes a super bowl contender due to his arrival.

I don't know why it is so difficult to understand that the money saved by cutting Sitton will be used to lock up younger players like Tretter and Bahktiari. Had we not made this move, we were heading into one ugly offseason in 2017.

How does this help us right now: it doesn't, at all and maybe we just effed ourselves in the process for 2016. Or maybe Lane Taylor will look a lot better with the number 1 unit instead of playing along side the 2nds.

If Corey Lindsley were healthy right now, I wouldn't even be concerned. But it looks like it'll take a few games for this to work itself out.
