That's Uffda and Nerdmann's MO's. I have much to teach my grasshoppers.

If they sign Sitton to a lower contract, then your comments will look foolish.

Let's just let this next week play out before getting hysterical. It is 53 players, this and future cap space and budgets.

Playing chicken or poker, don't overreact.

Finally, and again for emphasis...WHO is taking his spot? There is no Rodgers behind Favre here. There's GARBAGE behind him. Barclay has been floated. Don Barclay? That's like saying we covered for releasing Rodgers by trading for Joel Stave. C'mon, man. This is ridiculous.

Barclay, according to Bob McGinn (who is the best Packers' beat writer IMO) played his best as a Packer at C this off-season. Maybe Barclay starts and Tretter is shifted to G?

Lane Taylor was paid $4+ million this summer - you assume it was for something other than just sitting around.

Most of last season Sitton wasn't practicing. If McCarthy's constant harping on availability is to be taken seriously, maybe that struck a chord with Mike / Ted? You have to think if chemistry is important on o-line, practicing together through the week has to mean a good deal.

Not going to lie, though: in no one's wildest dream would Josh Sitton have been released.

Plenty of teams will gladly pay Josh Sitton what he is fairly due .

Where can TAR and FEATHERS be purchased in Green Bay, Wis. ?

What is surprising is TeddyT is usually willing to keep the player and turn it into a draft pick when the player signs elsewhere next year. $6 mil for an extra 4th round pick ain't bad.

If we couldn't get anything for him now, then how would we get anything for him later? Am I missing something there? Feels like I am.

Had we kept him we could've traded him tonight after he made the team.

That's based on the premise that the news wouldn't have come out later, but I'm not sure I can get with that premise, especially with all the "insiders" on twitter these days, you know?
