It solidifies their QB position, but lets be honest, Bradford is no 2009 Brett Favre and this is a lot to give up for basically a season to season and a half rental of an average at best QB who is made of glass and has spent a good amount of his career on IR. Not to mention it creates a QB controversy next season between the heir apparent and what could be a very expensive backup.
Maybe Spielmen felt he had to make the move because of the window closing with AD, but it imo reeks of desperation because they made the playoffs last season and needed a stopgap to keep their playoff hopes alive. For a GM who has done a good job rebuilding through the draft, he potentially traded away the future that could go down as bad a trade and as infamous in Vikings lore as the Herschel Walker trade if it doesn't pan out. imo the Eagles fleeced the Vikings on compensation in a desperation move by Minnesota when the Eagles knew they werent going to be playoff contenders this season anyways and Bradford probably wasn't in their long term plans to begin with.
