The Green Bay Packers can only carry six receivers on their 2016 NFL Roster and YOU have to choose the final six from the group below. Who do you choose and if you can briefly explain why, that would be bonus yo!

Current allottment of receivers
• 84 Jared Abbrederis
• 17 Davante Adams
• 81 Geronimo Allison
• 13 Harvey Binford
• 18 Randall Cobb
• 11 Trevor Davis
• 83 Jeff Janis
• 10 Jamel Johnson
• 88 Ty Montgomery
• 87 Jordy Nelson
• 16 Herb Waters
• 19 Ed Williams
• I'm going with these six because I think Ty Montgomery ankle issue is going to land him on the PUP for the first half portion of the Packers season.
1. 87 Jordy Nelson
2. 18 Randall Cobb
3. 17 Davante Adams
4. 84 Jared Abbrederis
5. 11 Trevor Davis
6. 83 Jeff Janis

Nelson could be done too. Herb Waters is next up.

Something with this Ty thing has just smelled fishy this whole time for me, and this video doesn't reassure me.

Ty interview 7-27-16

To answer the thread, the main 5 with Davis as the 6th

Williams next man up if there's another another camp injury. I hope I'm paranoid and overreacting, but I feel Ty is going to be out for a long time. It has a Sherrod feel to it for me. Again, I hope I'm dead wrong.

I think you're right and Montgomery or Nelson are not 100% for the start of the season and they put one on the pup, and when they're ready to come off of it and rejoin the team maybe the WR dilemma has figured itself out already.

If all 7 are healthy for the start of the season I think Trevor Davis is cut to put on the practice squad or Abbrederis is just flat out cut. However according to the reports both have looked pretty good so far this off-season so if that continues T.T. is going to have some real tough decisions to make.

Remember what happened with Bigby's ankle? Ty was explosive, he might never be the same again.

Just don't know what it is with this staff. Too many careers destroyed on this team.

Take the best... of course if healthy Monty would probably be higher... and if not for his ST value/speed Janis might be lower.

1. Jordy Nelson
2. Randall Cobb
3. Davante Adams
4. Jared Abbrederis
5. Ty Montgomery
6. Jeff Janis
7. Trevor Davis

It seems like the setback he had last year has the training staff taking extra precaution with his comeback time table. As long as its just practice/preseason I'm fine with that approach.

THUMBS DOWN

It’s a crowded field at wide receiver with 12 players jousting for what was five roster berths in eight of the last nine years. Looking to bounce back from an awful season, Davante Adams is off to a spotty start. At 6-1 and 215, Adams is a big receiver. But size is a detriment if a player can’t separate from defenders. That’s what was happening to Adams on three plays. In a play-action period, he dropped a crossing route with a defensive back in his back pocket. In a blitz period, Adams tried to make another contested catch with Quinten Rollins all over him. From here, it looked like a catch and lost fumble after Rollins stripped the ball out. Finally, in a normal down-and-distance period, Aaron Rodgers took a very deep drop and hurled the ball about 50 yards to Adams. Adams, however, was unable to get away from Morgan Burnett and the pass fell incomplete.

But it's not all bad:

CB LaDariusGunter made three big plays. He broke hard on a flat pass to John Crockett, sliced in from the slot to tackle Brandon Ross for minus-3 and sacked Brett Hundley on a stealthy interior blitz.
