I've been saying for some time now that there's something up with the way Aaron delivers the ball. If it was just one guy with a ton of drops, then it would obviously be on THAT guy. But it's not just one guy, and it's something that has followed him for years. Look at all the drops in the SB that year.

WRs: It's abnormal.

I don't think it's just a situation with velocity. It might be the quickness of his release, it might make the ball curve a little bit. I used to catch on my high school baseball team, and we had some guys who had some pretty crazy pitches. Sometimes you just try to stay in front of it.

Yes and No. I've always tried to credit who I think should be blamed for a drop. There are cases where the WR uses all their ability just to get their hands on a ball. I don't blame them if they don't hold onto it even though I always hear commentators saying "well if they get their hands on it they should catch it". Not always the case. There are some routes Rodgers is very good at. Passes along the sidelines and deep. but there are some he does have trouble with. I've noticed he often is behind and low to TEs on shallow crossing or in the flats.

Regardless of anything "weird" that might be the result of Rodgers passes. The receivers are being paid to catch passes from Rodgers. Figure it out. I'm not interested in excuses.

Another problem with saying who is to blame is not knowing the route. Maybe the receiver ran the route too shallow or too deep and that's what made the pass look horrible.

When in doubt... blame it on the "red jersey, don't touch me candy ass QB".😝

Reality is that if the QB has built trust from the WR that he isn't going to lead him into the headhunter... if the ball is with the catch radius, blame should fall on the receiver. Aaron does a pretty good job of "protecting" his guys... so in this case, I lean more to the WR in blame.

You're a paid professional to catch footballs. If the ball hits you in the hands, it is your job to catch it. If you can't catch the ball your QB is throwing because of the velocity or whatever other reason other than it didn't hit you in both hands then you shouldn't be running routes for that QB.

Not to mention that today, WRs wear gloves with ridiculous grip on them. How many more excuses can we make for the guys that are supposed to catch a perfectly thrown ball?

A couple of our pitchers in high school baseball had this WEIRD change up. It's like the ball would sink, then rise up, but the visual effect was that you didn't see it coming and suddenly BAM! It was there before you realized it, I think partially because of the angle the ball would take coming at you I don't know.

Then there were the knuckleballers. Just try to knock those down in front of you.

I'm not saying Aaron is not good at getting the ball where he wants it to go. What I'm suggesting is that maybe there's some kind of an anomaly with the way the ball comes out.

Like I said, if it was just ONE guy, that'd be one thing. But Aaron is the common denominator.
