Packers defensive tackle Colin Cole is learning that being a professional football player isnt all its cracked up to be.

For starters, it doesnt provide a license to drive 88 miles per hour in a 65-mph zone.

Coles recently was pulled over by Deputy Aaron Rauls, who explained in his report that Coles thought he had immunity in that regard.

He also wanted me to have a card of some sort that IDd him with the NFL, Rauls wrote. I said I only needed his [drivers license].

Coles then told Deputy Rauls that he gets stopped all the time in Green Bay and doesnt get a ticket, because he plays for the Green Bay Packers.

Rauls explained in response that he doesnt give out warning for 88 in a 65.

Were still wondering what kind of card Coles was referring to, and whether it was made by Topps, Fleer, or Upper Deck.

Pro Football Talk

I have to say I liked Cole but he seems like a self entitled dick right here.

Hilarious. I was so relieved to find out he was neither drunk at the time nor delivering the local Walgreens' yearly stock of Codein, that I peed myself.

Coles? You would think they would know how to spell his name. Of course this is PFT we are talking about. Accuracy is not their main concern.

Haha that is a very good point PIB, I guess I do have to look at the bright side of it in that way.

Still I always hear about celebrites getting off when it's obvious they would have no problem paying it off.

Bah, this is a small ticket. When I got mine back to back (same freaking weekend by the same cop on the same stretch of highway, consecutive citation numbers too) tickets for going 78 and 77 in a 55 it was a $172.10 ticket. That was an expensive moronic weekend if I ever must say so myself.

Well that pretty much guarantees he'll never get another warning.

Hmmm........so.......you made that cop's weekend!!! Also looks like your a slooooow learner!!! :compress:

When i worked for the Milwaukee Sentinel, we got away with alot because of who we were. I got pulled over twice for speeding too. The first time, going up Capital Drive in Milwaukee,(going 60 in a 30 zone) the cop laughed and said "I should have KNOWN it was a sentinel van!" He then turned to walk away and i said "Want a free newspaper?" He said "Sure! How about one for my partner too!" So that was my "fine".
The second time wasn't so nice.......i was sick, and my boss told me i could go home when i finished my deliveries. It was raining, i was going up
Silver Spring Drive.....it was 2am......the light turned red, i hit the brakes and started to slide........i looked and there were no cars, so instead of losing control and sliding through the intersection, i floored it and went through the red light. I looked in my rear view mirror, and WAAAAAY back saw the lights of a cop car. I thought "That can't be for me.....he's too far away!" I was wrong.....it was for me......i pulled over, rolled down my window, and the cop went ape sh*t on me. Grabbed me and pulled me out of the van, screamed at me nose to nose, yanked me back to his car, pointed at his radar gun and said "WHATS THE SPEED LIMIT HERE!?!?" i said "30"......he said "WHAT DOES THE RADAR SAY?" I said "60"......and he said "YOU ALSO WENT THROUGH A RED LIGHT!" And ripped me for about 10 minutes. I was shaking so bad i thought i was gonna pass out. He yelled "Give me you license, and go back and sit in your van!" He made me wait.....then came back to my van and handed me my license, saying "What i just handed you will become MINE if i EVER see you come through here like that again!" He turned and started walking away....I said "Sir....does that mean i can go?" And he said "Yeah.....get out of here." I saw him the next week, and thanked him for not writting me a ticket. He told me "I sometimes wonder if i'm doing the right thing letting you guys go. I don't want you to lose your job, but i also don't want to come here some night and have to scrape you or someone else off the pavement with a shovel." I told him i learned my lesson.....and i did. I never did anything even close to that again.
(End of today's lesson!) :thumbleft: LOLOL!!!

hah ... hey i have good reason!

I had a 93 Z24 drop top that had one of those stupid racing chips in it to make it accelerate faster.

On HWY 57 about a mile or two before it drops to 45, I thought the engine missed so I slowed down a bit, then slammed the pedal... before I knew it I was nearing 90 so I let off the gas. I was going to just coast down to 45 and that's about the time the cop caught me.

On my way OUT of town. I saw the 55 MPH sign and was doing 45.... slammed the gas again figuring the cop wouldn't be in the same spot. He wasn't, but he wasn't far away lol... he ended up getting me again. The citation numbers were like 03CT013211998 and 03CT013211999. The look on the judges face was priceless when he noticed it.

He asked me something... probably like what is your problem... I just looked up and said "Sir, that was really irresponsible and ... I screwed up". I'm not sure his response but I know it was not favorable.

Sure wouldn't mind that $350 now though lol

Last year my son and I were heading to GB for a Packer game. Near Kohler, I noticed out of nowhere, a cop was right on my ass with his lights on. When he pulled me over He walked up as asked what was my hurry? (I was going 80 in a 65) My response?

Packer game, tailgating, the frozen tundra, can there be a better reason other than impending birth?

He laughed, said "get outta here and slow down. "

It was a good 5 hours before the game!

Jeremy Stevens got off of a rape charge for being a football player, Cole deserves to get off for a few speeding tickets.

I had a friend who was doing 90 in a 40 a couple years ago. When the cop pulled him over and came up to the window my friend was bawling hysterically (note that this is an 18 year old male). The cop sees that my friend is sobbing and asks him "what the f_ck is wrong with you?" gets the kid's license, throws it back at him, and tells him to "just go the f_ck home."

I haven't had such luck. I've been pulled over once for doing 69 in a 60 (downhill after the unmarked cop car tailgated me to get me to speed up... syphillitic prick) and this past summer I was pulled over in Illinois doing 80 in a 65 (being in the middle of a group that had briefly sped up to pass some old lady... I drive the sporty car with the out of state license plate). Traffic laws and their enforcement are bullshit.
