That said Bennett is a very good and complete TE, when his head is right. When his head is wrong his signing would constitute subtraction by addition.
Ted Thompson looks at everyone; but he's looking through a telescope with his eye squinted on Bennett. Sure he'd take him as long as he could be cut at a moments notice with minimal cap ramification. Bennett will be offered a far better deal than that. He could decide to sign a 1 year almost min. deal w/ a winning program with a good QB in hopes of getting a SB and a big deal next year; but if he signs that deal, it'll be with Seattle to play with his brother. Boy, the 2 Bennett boys, both insane, on the same team, that could be like mixing liquid oxygen with volcanic lava, perfect recipe for an insane GM like Schneider.

Odds of him coming to GB: 1%, on the off chance Marcellus is crazy enough to have more hate for the Bears than love for his brother.

Again, Lad Green couldn't run routes in SD; he'd be the Jeff Janis of TEs in GB, Ted is looking at him through a telescope; but instead of squinting he's wearing an eye patch.

All that it takes for these rumors is the players agent to contact the Packers and ask "if my guy is released, do you have interest?" and Packers reply "we have no comment' and thus a non-denial becomes the Packers are eyeing said agents player. That's not tampering, that's just how agents roll. Several in the media have acknowledged this as well. Therefore, we should absolutely not go an claim the Packers are tampering or that it is 100% bullshit because that's just not exhausting all possibilities.

If you doubt this, just look around the internet and you'll see REPORTS based off Adam or Ian tweeting a rumor. One outlet reports it, then another and another then newspapers say MULTIPLE REPORTS Packers interested in Bears TE!

Kind of discouraging to watch because then fans get on their trumpet and run their mouth with "there were multiple reports Packers were interested and Ted failed to pull the trigger!". The ultimate snowball of ignorance thanks to the interGoogle.
