A record number of players have pulled out of this year's Pro Bowl, and now a coach has, too. Packers coach Mike McCarthy will not coach the Pro Bowl. The team announced that doctors advised McCarthy not to travel to Hawaii because he has a stomach illness. The Packers' coaching staff will now be led...

Come on man.

Maybe he's afraid he'll coach the team into a shell in the second half and end up losing in embarrassing fashion.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

(I can see it now....Ted Thompson is seen sneaking out of MM's office, with an unknown bottle in his hand and MM goes into his office, takes a sip of his coffee, and bends over in pain.....

It's amazing the lengths people will go to in order to avoid the pro bowl now. You need a team doctor to sign your fake note?
Stick a fork I'm this already, Godell.

The pro bowl was actually really entertaining last year, quite the step up in my opinion.

McCarthy spoke a lot about his tenure this recent off-season and season. I found it quite odd. The 2014 NFC Championship collapse I thought was a huge log in the pit to fire him. The 2015 season Aaron Rodgers said something about it being something he's really proud of because of all of the adversity they had to overcome. McGinn saying McCarthy is fed up with Ted Thompson's approach. McCarthy pulling out of the Pro Bowl ... this collectively makes me wonder if there's serious talk about removing McCarthy?

5 Patriots, 3 Steelers, Carson Palmer among many others who all pull out of the pro bowl. Are they on the hot seat too?

This is such a worthless premise. So a reporter asks "Hey Mike, do you and Ted get along, or do you wish he'd stop dragging his feet in F.A?" What do you think he'll say publicly about his boss? More importantly what would YOU say. "Yeah, my boss is a pansy who screws me over, and I sucked up in Seattle."
Let's see what that does for your job security.

I'm convinced Mike giving up PC was because of Seattle, either from Ted or self reflection. They fired their ST coach. There were changes due to Seattle.

In his last press conf Mike said Lacy is fat, Clay needs to move outside, and they need more production from TE and WR. That's holding the team accountable, and it's a public admissions of his wish list for Ted. All the shit you guys are begging to hear, or accountability you want, it's there. Just not as overt as you're unrealistically expecting it to be.

The man's brother died a couple days after the Seattle game, so let him do whatever soul-searching he has to do. It's not that it's an excuse, but calling for the man's head when serious things are happening both at home and at his job is just disgraceful.

In regards to actual Pro Bowl participation... you'd think people would be more open to GETTING PAID TO GO TO HAWAII.

But oh well.
