Draft a LB and TE in the first 2 rounds. Even if tbere arent good ones available at those spots as long as you draft them early it looks like you are trying harder and thats what matters.

Pick BAP!

Priority to guys in the respective tier is as follows:
Round 1 and 2: OT, DL, CB or pass rusher

G, TE, RB, ILB, S can be had in middle rounds. Pick them higher than round 3, only if graded much higher than the position in which they are picked.

We got 6 WRs plus Jones. So pick one that will make practice squad or only if they come with a bargain grade

May as well, Steve. That's what they did with Richard Rodgers. No reason to draft him in the 3rd round but we watched all the good TE's go off the board so we panicked and used a 3rd rounder on that scrub. He has UDFA ability, if that. Shoot, we could get the next Ryan Taylor or DJ Williams. Roll the dice.

As for LB...we drafted one 5th overall and he was a liability his entire career. Can't win. The trade up for Clay worked out well. Thanks, Brett. Trade more players and trade up...that is trying.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Not going to happen but I would not be angry to see the Packers first round (and maybe 2nd) pick dealt to Detroit for the services of Calvin Johnson who apparently wants out.

Assuming they hold on to those picks, so far with my research I like Hunter Henry and O.J. Howard from Arkansas and Alabama. Two tight ends who can potentially help stretch the field and be a mismatch in the middle. It would allow Richard Rodgers to be a second option, which I'm fine with as he has reliable hands.

There's no bonafide surefire pick at LB this season. Tops are Reggie Ragland and Scooby Wright, from Alabama and Arizona, and we've shown no hesitation at picking players from those schools.

Trade our top two picks for a guy who has maybe a couple years left in the league? I think you guys are still feeling the loss from Arizona and want to make some reckless moves. Thankfully Ted usually keeps a cool head and isn't swayed by emotional appeals.

Anyone who thinks we're going to draft a Wide Receiver in the first round, or trade away our prized draft picks + cobbs/adams will be sorely disappointed. Having Jordy and Montgomery out for the year made our WR core look pretty bad, with them coming back + Adams hopefully continuing to develop I think Wide Receiver is far down the priority list.

ILB
DL
OLB
TE
OT

I assume the Packers lose some of Neal/perry/Raji/Guion so defensive line and OLB will be more of a need than we currently think it is. With the Packers having to face some contracts coming up on the O-line I expect them in to invest a 3rd-5th round pick into it as insurance. I also fully expect the Packers to grab a punter/CB/WR/RB in the later rounds.

Yeah...I'd like to see us sign a good/above average ILB, draft Hunter Henry, trade for Joe Thomas, and go to Australia and find a punter.:) Just dreaming out loud.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

However, if you are afraid to play , then no rewards are possible. Playing it safe is TT's MO, the old man has no balls .

Look at the teams going into the SB. They have one thing in common. Defensive fronts that can get after the QB. And if you look at where this team has been beat up the last couple years. By teams that have defensive fronts that can get after the QB.

So where do you improve this team. First is stopping those defenses from getting at Rodgers and dictating the game to our offense. And second, improving our defensive front so it can get after the QB. Do those two things and watch the Running and Passing games improve, and the running and passing defenses improve

Oline primarily Tackles,
Defensive front, DE and OLBs that get pressure.

WR,TE,MLB can help but if you don't build the trenches on both sides we are still going to struggle.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
