It's too bad this was sourced out by Bob Lies4Clicks McGinn.

Wait, the first FIVE selections of the draft provided help and that's viewed negatively here? You gotta be kidding? If you can get good help from any five draft picks each year, that is a helluva positive thing.

I want to read mike MCCarthy's comments where he says he is fed up with Ted Thompson's approach. Not some bitter hack's interpretation of a coaches frustrations on a frustrating season. Who are these sources Bob. If you don't want to name them I get that but what exactly did they say. How specifically did Mike tell them that he was fed up with Ted? That doesn't matter because sensational headlines are all that really matter in what passes for journalism now days.

If Mike really is talking shit about Ted behind Ted's back, he could be gone sooner than later. Let's not forget Aaron's antics this season either. He might be the source, trying to pit the two against each other. Hard to say.

That is surface thinking. Big picture thinking considers more than base details that 5 guys helped. It considers the quality of the help given. When you only draft and develop that necessitates that the guys who are drafted have to play whether they should be playing or not but we've never seen that in Green Bay, have we? 😁

This organization has had 24 years of unprecedented QB play. 2 rings. SF had 20 years of Montana and Young and reeled in 5 rings.

I'm so tired of reading how people with expectations should just chill and realize how great we actually have it. We should be seeing greatness but all we get is good and people happy with that. Don't get it.

EDIT: Buck, I just got done reading from the search function. Use: AJ Hawk and Buckeyepackfan ...Oh,you're right...you never used the exact words of AJ Hawk being a great draft pick but boy oh boy did you say it without using those exact words. Also, I found it funny reading some of your other posts. Trying to stick it in my face that Davante was a good WR because he replaced Jarrett Boykin and how stupid I was for saying he was going to be a disappointment using passing Boykin for your reasoning. Surface, Buck. Surface. AJ Hawk played for x amount of years and had x amount of tackles therefore he was a great player. You did type that. You thought he was an excellent player for us for 8 years. I will say it again...IF he makes the Packers Hall of Fame there is no reason to ever visit the Packers Hall of Fame because putting a guy like Hawk in just trashes the quality of what it should represent. He was a TERRIBLE 5th overall pick for this franchise.

Until then I will just let Ted Thompson
Make you look the fool as you rip apart his every pick and those players go on to excell in The NFL.

Here's my take on some of the points:

While FA isn't the way to build a team, it can be a tool to fill in some weak spots. If Ted Thompson has a fault, it's his almost religious aversion to FA. He needs to be more flexible.

The coaching shakeup seemed to be a mess this year. That needs to be resolved. I know they are grooming Edgar Bennet for a future head coaching job, but that shouldn't be done at the expense of having a position coach.

Personnel adjustments during the season were a mess as well. When Tretter was brought in as a draft pick it was because of his versatility. They should have given him a shot before Barclay or Sitton, as mentioned.

Unmentioned was the enormous number of drops by the receivers this year. That better get fixed pronto or some guys, including Cobb, need to be on the bus.

We had a bad year. Its everyone's fault. We didn't win the division for the 5th straight year, that sucks. We didn't win the super bowl, that also sucks. Thompson probably could do a better job in free agency. I'm willing to bet money we win the division next season. After that, the playoffs are any given Sunday. I can't handle another off season of the same whiny pointless shit. Bitching for the sake of bitching. Never do I read solutions, only hollow complaints.
