Hey!

I cope w/ Packer tragedy with passive aggressive humor rage and exhibiting some of the advanced poetry techniques I learned in 2nd grade. No need to bring my other issues into this.😂

You of course are burning incense around the Rodgers Buddha and using a slight wave of your hand to direct the wafting smoke toward your nostrils. I don't agree, but respect that.

But you didn't answer my question!

You didn't answer the question. So, I'll just assume that...yes...you will be happy with making the playoffs year after year until Rodgers is done and no more SB victories.

Points 1 and 2? Thanks for those. I wasn't aware. Had no idea.

You don't want to go for it and risk not being in the playoffs and losing year after year for the possibility of actually winning it all. We're just different.

You're the self ordained football genius of this forum.

Convince me.

Looking forward to the next 10 pages of this thread.

Should be quite entertaining

That was needed to get to the show. That is something you don't seem to grasp.

You would've freaked had you been a Bucs fan when Dungy got canned. NECESSARY.

This team has failed 5 years in a row. SOMETHING has to change. Doesn't have to be Rodgers but it has to be something SIGNIFICANT. Taking a step back to go forward is more than worth it but I understand how "fun" it is to win divisions and lose in the playoffs. It's exhilarating.

I will answer your loaded question though:

Happiness is not binary, it's not a simple matter of being happy or not. There are varying levels.

I would be extremely happy if the Packers won the superbowl every year.

I would be very happy, but a bit less so if they won one or two in the next 10 years.

I would be perfectly content if the packers got to the playoffs and had a chance to win the SB consistently over the next 10 years, even if ultimately, they failed to do so. It may shock you, but the reason for this is simple, there is more to my life than a sports team, so I will not throw a fit or wallow in self-pity if they disappoint me. If this outcome makes you a very unhappy person I can only feel sorry for you.

I would be disappointed if the Packers started sucking like the Lions, Bears or Vikings, even in this case I would some how, some way, manage to go on living a perfectly normal life.

Nerd posts inaccurate info on this site multiple times daily. Should he be allowed to do so without being questioned about his ludicrous assertions? I don't think so.

I wasn't bent out of shape when the Packers lost at Arizona. I was surprised they were even playing that game. It was house money to me.

However, as a fan, it's pointless to watch knowing your team is not going to win a SB. If I knew when I started being a fan of this team at age 12 that it would never ever win a championship, I wouldn't have bothered to watch them in the first place. The idea they can and will win is why I watch. I would not watch if I knew for the next 10 they'd win the division and lose out in the playoffs. That is why I'm vocal about what I say...I don't want to watch that for 10 years while you're fine with it.
