I spent most of the weekend doing my taxes....shouldda known better. I thought I had taken enough out to cover for Social Security, which is income but no taxes are taken out unless you advise them, so I had some taken out but not enough. But add in my teachers retirement, the salary I had from January to June last year, my substituting at school, and I made several thousand more than last year.

Next year will be okay.........The Prez-E-Dent advised me I'm in line for a cabinet position in a couple of years, but I have to let my taxes slip before he will consider me.

"Jeez, Your Honor. It simply slipped my mind. Ya know, from January to April 15 goes by so quickly I just forgot to file." :thumbright:

The position he mentioned was Secretary of Forgetfulness.

got mine back already...we got a nice break with the 7500 1st time home buyer credit..

nice to pay off a chunk off bills just in case i lose my job...

laid off over 15% of the people in my company and today was told entire company is losing 10% of their pay..

So this tax money is coming in real handy right now

Way to go longtimefan. We're way past our first time buyers credit, but next year we may catch a break when I'm 66 and my wife gets the Montana break for being 63 or above. Actually we broke even between Federal and State. Owed big to the Feds and got back bigger from state. Came out at + 300 bucks between the two. Last year it was about + $1200.

Well Long we butt heads but i hope you don't lose your job times are tough right now. I got lucky that i made enough from my job to cover my taxes from my computer repair business i have. I get a whopping $55 back from federal but i was happy, I thought for sure i was paying in this year.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

We'll be doing our taxes next Saturday. We owe still from last year, but only like $140. So, we should still be getting a decent bit of change back this year.

Guess the guys in the Prez's cabinet arn't patriotic, hey?

Just can't trust politicians......on EITHER side of the aisle.
They go by the old saying "Do as I say!!!!.........(not as I do!)"

dfosterf (21h) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
