Keep in mind that Bob McGinn is also the same guy who said Ted Thompson assembled such a solid team around Aaron Rodgers that it would be a playoff team even with Rodgers.

McGinn is a sorry loser, he has to write about a team he hates for a living and not only that but he is also quite a bad sports writer.

Trading for Vernon Davis would have been a sign to the team that the management is trying to improve the roster.

Bob McGinn has a case of the "ESPN" syndrom.

He would rather try and create news instead of reporting the news.

Hey Bob, if your ideas were so Damn good you would be a GM!

Write about what you know, not what you think you know.

I haven't any issue with the article, other than of course just a few seasons ago he said the roster was so well built it could withstand the loss of Aaron Rodgers. That seems a tad hypocritical to me, lol.

Vernon davis might not have been the answer but it is doubtful getting him cheap would hurt the team. When there is a noticeable deficiency at a position and a player available cheap, even if the move doesn't win us a SB, it is better than not trying.
