I'm definitely shocked!
Gettig rid of the punter and holder at this point in time is a curious move.
Now we have a new long snapper, punter and holder in a very crucial part of the game.
And I valued Hodge more than Giaccomoni. Ted Thompson knows best.

I agree bozz. Not only does a punter not need heart, he also doesnt need any brains. He can be the dumbest guy out there. The only thing a punter needs is a leg that can boot the ball. Nothing else matters.

I think one thing that hasnt been mentioned is that John Ryan was an EXCELLENT tackler, i think i remember there was quite a few times last year that someone almost broke a big run only to be stoped by ryan. Or maybe that was crosby.... Hell i think they were both above average for being kickers.

Ok it was crosby then, nevermind! Crosby was a decent part of our good coverage team last year. IIRC there werent any kickoff returns for tds? Or atleast not until the last couple games?
