Packers place WR Ty Montgomery on IR/Actiave TE Andrew Quarless

Not a surprising move. They need people who can get on the field and contribute and this will give Montgomery a chance to shut it down and get healthy for next year.

Fortunately, the Packers gamble of using their IR designation on Quarless worked out and they didn't lose any other major contributor who might have needed it more.
