The Packers have 10 Championships and 3 SB, why aren't the championships considered as SB's? I mean didn't they switch the championships to SB's? Shouldn't the 10 championships need to switch also. I don't think it's fair for us.

Why did they make the switch???

Why don't they consider those 10 as SB's now???

Isn't it 9 championships? Other than that, I totally agree with you. Those championships count as SBs count now, the ultimate winner of the whole NFL.

I don't know if they should be changed, but they shouldn't just be ignored. I agree with you on that.

Whenever people talk about chamionships it's always about SB championships and the Steelers, 49ers and Cowboys. People tend to ignore the Packers, Bears and even the Lions.

And yes, we have 9 Championships and 3 Superbowls. That's 3 more than the Bears, 5 more than the Giants and 6 more than the Steelers.

they aren't considered super bowls before the 1966 season because they weren't previously the AFC champion v the NFC champion. Prior to 1966 there was no AFC. That was the year that the AFL merged with the NFL, and the AFC and NFC of the NFL first existed.

The Packers have won 12 NFL championships, including 3 Super Bowls.

Wasn't it after Super Bowl I that they declared it was in actuality the first Super Bowl? I remember reading that Pete Rozelle named it Super Bowl after his daughters Super Ball or something like that.

NFL and the AFL is the reason that the Championships aren't considered Superbowl championships.. prior to the 1967 Superbowl.. the AFL (AFC) and the NFL didn't allow the top teams to square off..

http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761579395/Super_Bowl.html

During the early 1960s there were two major American professional football leagues: the NFL and the American Football League (AFL). The first Super Bowl, held in 1967, was played between the champions of these two leagues. In that game, the Green Bay Packers of the NFL beat the Kansas City Chiefs of the AFL, 35-10. However, the championship was not officially called the Super Bowl until 1970, when the two leagues merged to form the modern NFL.

The Green Bay Packers, led by coach Vince Lombardi, also won the second Super Bowl in 1968. The surprise victory in the 1969 Super Bowl, in which the New York Jets of the AFL defeated the Baltimore Colts (now Indianapolis Colts) of the NFL, generated greater interest in the championship game. In that contest, New York quarterback Joe Namath became famous when he brashly guaranteed the Jets' upset victory.
