Tom Clements went from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator to Associate Head Coach/Offense with the duty of calling plays. As we learned from Jay Glazer, Mike McCarthy is back to calling plays so what does this mean to Clements?

It seems many have high praise for Clements so I wonder what he'll have as his primary role now. Maybe no change other than not calling plays?

Super extra important assistant coach.

How many "assistant head coaches" do we have now? Winston Moss? Dom Capers? Maybe Clements can be the Head Assistant Head Coach. His job will be to oversee that committee.

We can pray some college or weak sister professional team offers him a head coaching job and he accepts. He has hit the ceiling in Green Bay and has nowhere to go but back down the ladder of success. Personally i think you can stick a fork in him...he is done.

Apparently Alex Van Pelt contract expires this year and he's QB and WR coach. Maybe Clements keeps his title and takes over quarterbacks and they bring Joe Philbin back to coach running backs?

Philbin is an OC, not a RB coach.

If Sean Payton gets fired in NO, I wouldn't mind seeing the entire coaching staff replaced and let Payton pick his coaches not named Greg Williams. McCarthy has squandered too many years.

As for Clements, he can hit the bricks because a competent OC should have been able to compensate for the loss of Jordy, and TC failed miserably at that. Now I know someone will come back at me about dropped passes, but ultimately a coach(s) gets the blame.

McCarthy says Clements is one of the key contributors to drawing up the offensive gameplan. Firing him would be foolish.

And Sean Payton is not a better coach than Mike McCarthy. LOL. They both have the same amount of Super Bowls, but McCarthy's matchup was more difficult and therefore more impressive.
