There have been a few, a very select few who believe Scott Tolzien can’t play as well as Aaron Rodgers did over the last 6 games. Stop. Just stop it.😂

In 1st Det game. From the 17 GB dinked and dunked their way to Det 26 to a 3rd and 3. Aaron Rodgers perfect executed an unstoppable game plan perfectly and not a single throw over 6 yards. Now please point out which one of those throws Tolzein couldn’t make?

On 3rd and 3 Det. rushes 3. Aaron Rodgers has Cobb, Rodgers, Jones that can all be thrown open for 1st; Aaron Rodgers has all day and could wait for Starks to come open covered by LB on left; he could have waited for Cobb, Rodgers and Jones to make a second move; he could have easily run for the 3 yards; but instead Aaron Rodgers leaves the game plan and goes for TD to Adams. A perfect 30 yard laser throw is required, a throw Aaron Rodgers can make especially with no pressure. Tolzein can’t make this throw! But guess what? Aaron Rodgers didn’t make the throw either. And a long FG is tried.

Tolzein couldn’t make the throw; but he wouldn’t have even tried because he knows his limitations and Tolzein would have gotten the first down, either by running throwing a guy open or waiting for second moves.

This is not speculation because we have what Tolzein did in 2013 and can project adding 2 solid preseasons and his becoming 2more years familiar w/ the playbook. In 2013, He signed as 3rd string right before first game so he had no time to learn the playbook and probably didn’t get a single snap with first team until Aaron Rodgers went out w/ collar bone injury. Then probably all the first 1st team snaps went to get Wallace ready. Tolzein got starts in NYG and Minn. He should be evaluated on only those pass plays that were scripted and this will give us idea of how he would perform today [only better because he has 2 full years in the system].

In the first half in NY: Tolzein was 7-10 for 131 [P-Rating =112]. Running: GB was 9-13. His OL rookie Baktieri, Sitton, EDS, Lang, Newhouse!

In Minn. Audie Cole cane through A gap untouched on 1st play of game for 7 yard sack, killing first drive [a 3 and out]. On second drive a beautiful 11 play 87 yard drive 5 1st downs, 3 passing, 2 by run [one by Tolzein] capped by Tolzein running 6 yards into EZ.

Tolzein knew very little of playbook. The small part he knew, and did not know that with 100% proficiency, this is what he did.

After 2 very good preseaons and 2 years in playbook; if you think that Tolzein cant run this offense better than Aaron Rodgers over the past 6 weeks, you’re a...you’re a...well, you’re a fan and entitled to that baseless, factless and feckless opinion. And know if any tries to take that opinion from you, I will fight them! You are entitled to that Opinion as well as having a sphincter.

Think about this: Flynn played darn good in this system; and totally sucked in several other stops. Seneca Wallace in his only start was perfect 5-5-25 and playing within gameplan drove 9 plays 44 yards and drive stalled only after he got hurt and Crosby missed a FG. Aaron Rodgers has missed several games numerous times with injury; until last year; he wont come out now when injured. Maybe, just maybe, Aaron Rodgers isn’t as good as some think and maybe Aaron Rodgers knows Tolzein’s performance would expose this.

You're talking about Tolzien being ready to run out on the field and grab the kicking tee, right?

I know this is a forum and I appreciate the time you made to that post, but from one honest Packers fan to another -- this is a horribly written post. If what you said was written on paper, I'd red pen the shit out of it.

In regards to your opinion of Scott Tolzien leading the offense better than Aaron Rodgers over the past six weeks, just stop.

I'm a Tolzien fan that has watched him from Wisconsin to San Francisco to now. He's gotten better every year, and under McCarthy he will definitely be trade fodder, but he's not going to lead this offense better than Aaron Rodgers.

Why you'd even bother writing this post after a win that ONLY Rodgers could've orchestrated the way he did is beyond me. The stats you threw out are pointless and laughable. You might as well have recommended Brett Hundley for snaps considering he had the highest passer rating of all the QB's with more than 30 snaps over the pre-season.

Sorry to be so petty, but golly if you can't even get his name right, how and why should anyone trust you know he's "ready"?

This of course is a logic error: ad hominem [purport to argue against an idea by attacking writing abilities rather than the idea]

Another logic error, Strawman: The premise of the argument is that Tolzein could perform better than Aaron Rodgers over the last 6 games. You then convert the argument to comparing their respective abilities to play in a specific 1.5 quarter time period. A 1.5 quarter time period where the game plan was set aside because the game was substantially over and throwing caution to the wind was the ONLY road to victory.

Count 2-Strawman: Hundley? A powerful FACT in support of the premise was Tolzein's amazing play V. NFL players, not in garbage time, given that he knew a sliver of the playbook and practiced less than that and the FACT that since, he's had 2 full years in the system.

The introduction of Hundley is sardonic and the last refuge of the defeated wit is sarcasm [This really was Dostoyevsky from "The idiot"].

Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot" actually is a brilliant portrayal of man's ability to allow emotion to over rule reason and the tools they employ to protect those metal products emotionally derived at [damn ended that sentence in a preposition]. It is recommended reading for every Packer fan.

Please, let's talk football, if an idea is unworthy, then counter arguments can be made, there's no need to be nasty or dishonest in argument, even if that dishonesty and nasty is self-thought to be well written 😂.

What scares me about this topic, I remember in 2012 Bob Mcguin writing an article about how The Packers could win without Aaron Rodgers.

Personally, I don't want history repeating itself.

I will just say Scott Tolzien is as ready as he physically can be and let's hope we never find out this year what level he is at.

I'll be impressed if Tolzien even nets any kind of draft pick in a trade. I doubt it. The Packers would have likely taken an offer this season with the addition of Hundley if one occurred. He's an average career backup, at best. Regardless if one thinks that Tolzien could have played as well (or as poorly) as Aaron Rodgers has for parts of this season, he's not as good of a QB and that's the bigger point. Rodgers will play through his issues and return to form. Tolzien will always be an average backup. Any sane coach would stick with his star and hope for improvement. Actually, a really good coaching staff would force the issue and find ways to correct the problems.
